Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 384

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**

**Chapter 384: Going to the Meetup**

Dahlia’s thoughts raced as she reflected on the concoction she had meticulously crafted. *I’m absolutely convinced he never ingested those fruits,* she mused, frustration bubbling beneath her calm exterior.

She had tested that potion more times than she could count, each trial etched into her memory. Whenever a male therian consumed it, the effects were always predictably swift. Within an hour, their minds would become clouded, rational thought would dissolve like sugar in water, and they would inevitably drift toward the one who had ensnared them with the dose.

In those moments, all that was required was a mere drop of their blood to make contact with the bone stone. The power of the stone would seize their spirit, rendering them as pliable as puppets, easily manipulated by the one who held the strings.

*If only I were not Chitinid,* Dahlia lamented silently. If bone stones could exert control over Rank 11 and higher therians, and if she had the ability to bind a Rank 11, she would have forged a connection with Lucien long ago, never allowing such a coveted prize to slip away to Lily.

“So, what’s our next move?” Lily’s voice broke through Dahlia’s thoughts, her impatience palpable.

The moment Dahlia confirmed that Lucien hadn’t taken a bite, Lily’s composure shattered. “If he won’t even touch the fruits, how am I ever going to form a bond with him?” Her voice was tinged with desperation, a sharp contrast to Dahlia’s simmering irritation.

Dahlia locked her gaze onto Lily’s oblivious expression, the urge to lash out nearly overwhelming her. *How can she be so naive?* she thought, forcing herself to respond in a measured tone. “If Lucien isn’t accepting anything you offer him, it means he still doesn’t trust you. We need to earn his trust first. As for administering the drug, that will have to wait until he feels at ease around you—then we can make our move.”

Just as the last syllable escaped Dahlia’s lips, the door of the recovery pod slid open with a soft hiss. She quickly shot Lily a warning glance, a silent plea for discretion about the potion.

The medic stepped inside, his presence commanding yet professional. He approached the two women and disengaged the lock of the recovery pod. With a polite nod, he addressed them, “Ladies, your bodies have mostly healed. You’re permitted to get up and move around a bit.”

Lily, unable to contain her excitement, leapt from her seat in an instant. “Does that mean I can go wherever I want?” Her heart raced at the thought of finally finding Lucien.

The medic’s expression turned serious. “Ms. Lily, your wounds are still delicate. They’ve just closed, and your condition is still fragile. For now, your activity is limited to this medical section.”

Instantly, Lily’s face fell, disappointment washing over her like a cold wave. “But I need to see Lucien!” The urgency in her voice was evident; she longed to meet him, to gain his trust, and to secure their bond without delay.

Observing her sulking demeanor, the medic maintained a gentle tone. “His Highness is currently in a meeting. He isn’t available to visit, but he did mention that once it’s over, he’ll come by to see both of you.”

“Really?” The mere thought of Lucien coming to her sent a surge of joy through Lily, almost making her leap with glee.
