Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 393

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**
**Chapter 393: A Dangerous Cure**

Emma found herself genuinely concerned about him, more than she ever expected.

Calum’s spirits lifted slightly as he accepted the delicate flower Emma offered, bringing it to his lips with a hint of curiosity. The moment he tasted it, a wave of sweetness enveloped his senses, far surpassing any fruit he had ever savored.

After swallowing, he cast a quick glance in Malrik’s direction, who had departed with Silas moments earlier.

Without hesitation, he turned back to Emma, his voice steady but inquisitive. “Ms. Tibarn, do you wish to help Malrik?”

Emma’s heart raced as she processed his words. For a fleeting second, she was taken aback, her eyes widening in surprise. “You have a solution?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Of course, Emma yearned to see Malrik recover. She had witnessed his struggles firsthand. Malrik had been prescribed medicine by the Aurelian doctor, yet his condition remained stagnant, much to Emma’s dismay.

In recent days, she had urged Silas to consult several more physicians, hoping for a breakthrough, but alas, nothing seemed to change.

Calum nodded with confidence. “I just examined Malrik’s condition a short while ago.”

“He isn’t ill in the traditional sense. He has inadvertently ingested an excess of holy medicines. The energy within him has become too overwhelming, leading to a breakdown in his mental state.”

His assessment echoed the opinions of the other doctors, yet Emma felt a flicker of hope. “The physicians treating Malrik reached the same conclusion. They prescribed medication, and he followed their instructions, yet he remains unchanged.”

“This issue cannot be resolved with mere medicine,” Calum asserted, his gaze piercing through Emma’s uncertainty. “If you trust me, I can harness my abilities to extract the most chaotic energy from within him. Then, he must be thrust into the army.”

“Thrust him into the army?” Emma’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Calum nodded, his expression serious as he elaborated, “I cannot remove all the energy from his body; doing so would cause him to lose rank permanently. He must learn to release the remaining energy through training and combat. This will not only restore him to his former self but also stabilize his rank and enhance his combat prowess.”

“But with Malrik in his current state, can he even handle a real battlefield?” Emma questioned, her voice tinged with doubt.

Calum recognized her apprehension. “Ms. Tibarn, you need not worry. I will be by his side. I won’t let anything happen to him.” His tone was low and resolute, a promise wrapped in sincerity.

Emma paused, her mind racing as she weighed the options. She had only just crossed paths with Calum and was still unfamiliar with his character. She needed to consult Silas, who had a better understanding of Calum’s capabilities.

Meanwhile, on the warship, Marcus lay sprawled on the cold floor of the command room, staring up at the stark metal ceiling, a sense of hopelessness washing over him.

Why did it have to be Calum?

What was the Beast God thinking?

The more he pondered, the more his frustration bubbled to the surface.

“I swear that old Beast God’s mind has gone awry. The Beastmate Matching System has been in place for ages; it’s about time for a complete overhaul. If his brain can no longer keep pace, someone should just unplug it instead of letting it gather dust.”

“There are countless worthy males in the Empire. Why choose the most insufferable one?”
