Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 395

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**

**Chapter 395: The Agreement**

Calum felt a wave of apprehension wash over him at the thought of Malrik approaching him with fruit once again. The last thing he wanted was to be tempted into his beastly form. So, with a swift decision, he reverted to his true self, his human form, hoping to avoid any unwanted transformations.

As Calum concluded his thoughts, a sudden flash of brilliant white light enveloped the space around him, and in the blink of an eye, he found himself enveloped in a strong, reassuring embrace. The warmth radiated from Emma, who stood before him, her presence grounding him amidst the chaos of his emotions.

“Ms. Tibarn,” Calum’s voice broke the silence, sounding almost tentative next to her car. “Were you searching for me?”

He had initially intended to retreat to his room for some much-needed rest, but the ongoing commotion of setting up the space had thwarted his plans. With nowhere else to go, he had opted to lounge on the couch in the living room, but anxiety gnawed at him. The thought of dozing off there filled him with dread; he feared Malrik would once again tempt him with fruit, triggering his transformation into a form that could potentially frighten Emma.

In an effort to ease his own worries, he had shrunk himself down to the size of a kitten, hoping to appear less intimidating.

“Yes,” Emma replied, stepping back slightly to regard him with a curious expression. “I wanted to ask you something. If we utilize your method, how long do you think it will take for Malrik to return to normal?”

Calum pondered her question, his brow furrowing in concentration. “It really depends on how quickly he releases his energy. If he’s quick about it, we’re looking at about five or six days. If he takes his time, it could stretch to two weeks, or even a month. The slowest recovery would not exceed forty days,” he explained, his gaze steady upon her.

After he delivered his answer, he searched her eyes for understanding. “Ms. Tibarn, does this mean you consent to let me treat Malrik?”

Emma nodded firmly, her determination shining through. “Yes. From this moment on, we will be a family. I trust you with Malrik’s care,” she declared, a soft smile gracing her lips. “Once Malrik is well again, we will bond.”

The notion of bonding sent a jolt of surprise through Calum. He had always believed that Emma harbored a deep-seated fear of him, one that would prevent her from ever wanting to become mates.

Never in his wildest dreams had he anticipated this turn of events.

“Okay!” he replied, his voice bursting with barely contained excitement. He took a step closer, his tall frame casting a protective shadow over her. “Ms. Tibarn, I will ensure that Malrik recovers as swiftly as possible.”

Nothing would deter him from the path of becoming mates with Emma.

“Ms. Tibarn, let me take you to Malrik right away,” he insisted, his eagerness palpable.

Without waiting for her response, he scooped Emma into his arms, cradling her effortlessly as he made his way toward the living room.

Emma was momentarily taken aback, her heart racing as she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck for balance. Calum’s embrace was solid and unwavering, each of his steps deliberate and strong, making her feel as though she were a precious treasure safeguarded by a formidable beast.

She leaned against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, which sent warmth flooding to her cheeks.

“Calum, please, put me down. I can walk by myself,” she protested lightly, a hint of discomfort creeping into her voice.
