"Wait. Wait. I am assuming you also want to meet that madman? He has been training nonstop now for many days. He is in Haku City’s advanced training center. Aurex is also there. I can get both of them if you want?"
He trailed after Aiden with greasy fingers and a crooked grin, clearly trying to lighten the mood, but the sharp weight of Aiden’s silence pressed against him like a blade at his throat.
"I don’t need you to get them," Aiden finally replied. "They should already be well on their way. Not everyone ignores their messages, and not everyone has the luxury of wasting time."
"Okay. Okay. Enough about it already. Next time, I will keep checking my messages even on my off days." Magicaa rolled his eyes as he continued to casually walk.
They walked all the way to the outskirts of the city when Aiden opened up a portal. The skill was different compared to Blood Gate, but it did the job nonetheless.
Within a second, Aiden and Magicaa had arrived at the destination. To Magicaa’s surprise, it was a vast stretch of grassy plains. The plains stretched endlessly before them, swaying with tall grasses. It was the kind of place that did not leave any particular hiding spots.
Magicaa frowned. "Are you sure you want us here? I thought you wanted your involvement with us to be kept under wraps? Something changed now?"
Aiden did not answer.
Magicaa could only sigh in exasperation. "It is not a good sign for a leader to keep everything to himself. You need to voice out your thoughts once in a while. Otherwise, how would I know what to speak and what not to speak?"
"How about you let me do all the talking?" Aiden bluntly cut him off.
Magicaa just gave up. He did not bother reasoning with this madman anymore. He pulled his robe and his hood properly, making sure that no part of his face was visible from the outside.
But who knew, his effort could very well be useless. That bastard was that type of person. He probably. No. Most definitely had some sort of inspection skill that allowed him to see through even if the other party had everything covered.
Magicaa gritted his teeth. He hated that damned bastard to the core. Fucking Blood God. The dude had simply popped out of nowhere and was now pretty much ruling the game. Shouldn’t it be them, the fucking super ten ruling this damn game?
As he silently cursed the bastard of the hour several times under his breath, the other members of the party soon arrived. To Magicaa’s surprise, other than Aurex and that madman, there seemed to be two other figures.
Naturally, all of them were also fully covered up, not revealing a single bit of their identity. Even their weapons were concealed. Unless and untill a fight broke out nothing at all would be revealed about them.
But Magicaa knew that these guys also had to be top-tier. By top-tier, he meant the absolute top rank players which no one even knew existed. For a moment, he thought of a scenario and his grin widened.
