"Entering the game would only make them weak and vulnerable, and if they were to accomplish the mission for which they were sent to your world, they couldn’t allow something like that to happen under any circumstances. So they stay out in a dormant, dead state."
"I would assume at least until Earth’s mana is completely unsealed. After that, everything becomes fair game. After that, we wouldn’t be able to live so peacefully in the real world anymore. Mark my words. Those old bastards will come for you."
"They will come for you as soon as they possibly can. As soon as the system’s heavens would no longer smite them. The only reason you are living and breathing right now is that they are helpless to come near you and touch you. They can’t even use their senses to figure out where you are."
"The moment they know... they will not rest until you are destroyed. Completely."
"...Come for me?" Damon asked quietly.
Artimius didn’t soften it. "Yes. You. Specifically, you. You do know why, right?"
Damon’s gaze turned cold. Of course, he did.
Artimius chuckled. "Blood God, thankfully, you are not some naive idiot who is not even fully aware of his own potential. You must know by now that you are the reason why these old monsters are here in the first place!"
"You are the reason why all those Gods made their moves centuries ago!!"
The old man looked at him with a mysterious glint in his eyes. "You are the one marked by Fate. I am sure of it."
Damon nodded. He did not bother denying it. Especially after experiencing that ridiculous explosive growth in these last few days, even a dumb idiot would understand the true potential hiding inside him.
And all of this, with just a fraction of the godly bloodline. What would happen if someone had more of it?!
Damon shuddered. That was still a huge guillotine hanging over his neck, waiting to come down any day now.
These old monsters were not the only ones after him. Anyone who had managed to get a leg up in the race to assimilate his godly bloodline would definitely come after him the moment they sniff him out.
This was also probably the same moment Earth’s mana saturated. He was strong right now, but not nearly strong enough. He did not have confidence in dealing with these old monsters, who, as a bonus, were also backed by their Gods.
Damon took a deep breath. He clenched his fists as a determined look appeared on his face. He had somehow won the lottery ticket. He had no idea why. He was just a dumb shit without any other talent.
But... Now that he got it... There was no fucking way he was going to go down without putting up a fight.
