The man finished speaking and went to the kitchen to clean up the tableware. Paulette looked at his tall and straight figure, shaking her head in disbelief.
He was handsome, funny, gentle, patient, and could cook.
A perfect man like that in front of you, any woman would fall for him, right?
Luckily she just jumped out of that pit in Nelson, and she’s still in the desensitization stage, otherwise it would have been hard to escape.
Jeremiah didn’t know he had been put in the guard zone by Paulette. He was so busy with work, squeezing in time to have dinner with Paulette and working nearly twelve hours a day.

Paulette picked a simple white dress, did a light makeup, and went to the place they had arranged to meet.
Although she had known it was a high–end neighborhood for a long time, it wasn’t until she arrived at the tea restaurant that she couldn’t help but marvel at how generous they were with their money. Paulette and Nelson had been to this tea restaurant once before, with the minimum spending being over five figures.
As soon as she arrived at the door, the waiter warmly greeted her and led her to a private room. “Mrs. Swanson, please come in.”
Paulette wasn’t quite used to being called that, so she awkwardly said thanks and then knocked twice on the door.
A few ladies were already inside, chatting away. When they heard the voices, they all looked up.
Shayla Baldwin, the staff member who sent the invitation to Paulette, was also there. She quickly stood up with a smile and said, “Let me introduce you all to Mr. Swanson’s wife, Paulette Davenport.”
“Ms. Davenport was joining our event for the first time, let’s give her a warm welcome.”
Applause rang out, and Paulette was at a loss.
She greeted with a smile and was seated next to a wealthy lady by Shayla.
