She suddenly realized something, her face turned red, then she lowered her head and quietly ate.
The atmosphere changed unknowingly, the candlelight flickered, and the red edges of the roses seemed to be shining beautifully
Paulette didn’t used to drink much. After three drinks, she would feel hot all over and a dizzy sensation would rush to her head. She put down her fork, stood up, and walked over to Jeremiah, tilting her head to look at
him.
“You are much more handsome now than before.”
“But Jeremiah, being handsome doesn’t help! Do you know that you were really annoying when you were a kid! You even let the dog bite me on purpose!”
Paulette’s eyes were misty, with a hint of hidden sadness.

Paulette slapped him on the shoulder and said, “Let’s go! We’re getting
married!”
Jeremiah reached out and pulled Paulette into his arms, she fell lightly and her eyes met his, deep and captivating.
“Really?”
“Hmm!”
Paulette nodded emphatically, “Jeremiah, I want to marry you!”
At that moment, Jeremiah felt like there was a tsunami in his heart, almost blowing away all his self–control and rationality.
He cleared his throat and said hoarsely, “Okay, let’s get married. But you need to go to bed now, be a good girl.”
Paulette was dazed, with only this handsome face in front of her eyes. She giggled and said, “You look really good.”
