“Mr. Swanson… Last night Lawson and I reached an agreement. He said he would come over today to sign the contract. I’ll give him a call later to remind him.”
Jeremiah’s eyes were slightly cold, with deep pupils that were hard to read.
He said in a low voice, “Will he listen to you?”

The man’s magnetic voice casually said, “Come here.”

The man’s casual posture was just within reach, Kaylyn’s breathing quickened, hesitated for a second and then decisively turned to sit on Jeremiah’s lap.
“Oops…sorry Mr. Swanson, accidentally bumped into you.”
She said sorry, but her face showed no sign of embarrassment at all.

Jeremiah didn’t give her any time to react, he raised his hand and grabbed her neck, lifting her up forcefully. He coldly said, “Where did you get the confidence to think I wouldn’t blame you, huh?”
