Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1571

Molly hopped out of the car. “Hey, Dad! Your little girl’s home—happy to see me?”

That evening, Hansen turned in early and locked his bedroom door.

The next morning, he woke to find two pint-sized troublemakers waiting by his door, barely tall enough to reach the handle.

While Mia was teaching her class, Andre was stuck in a meeting downtown. Out in the yard, Henry stood on tiptoe, pudgy hands reaching out. “Squeeze, squeeze, give it to me! I wanna play!”

Hansen was trying to water his plants, but the two kids followed him everywhere, squabbling over who got to ‘help.’

Wayne clung to Grandpa’s leg, waving his tiny fist in the air. Hansen scooped his grandson up, while the other little rascal rolled on the grass, impossible to corral.

That same morning, Henry almost drowned one of Grandpa’s precious plants.

For the first time ever, Hansen built a fence around his backyard garden.

Later, while the housekeeper was digging in the yard, the boys wandered over. When Mia and Molly got home, they found their sons caked in mud from head to toe.

Molly looked them up and down. “Are these still ours?”

Mia sighed. “Even if we wash them, I’m not sure I want ‘em back.”

The boys, hands filthy, dashed after their moms. The women shrieked and darted away, but the boys just laughed, convinced this was the best game ever.

By the time Andre got home, both kids were finally scrubbed clean and smelling like fresh soap.

Over at Maplewood Heights, Leo was always so swamped he’d lose track of time. Anya waited up for him every night—sometimes she’d doze off on the sofa, TV humming in the background.

After a long, draining day, Leo would walk in and see the warm light she’d left on. His heart just melted—it felt like coming home to a pocketful of sweet cotton candy.

He’d scoop Anya up from the couch. She’d blink awake, voice soft and sleepy. “Chad, you’re home.”
