And soon enough, he was saying, “Sweetie, let’s go plant some veggies!”
Henry toddled over to the little wooden bridge, poking his head between the rails, squirming as if he might actually squeeze through—until his dad swooped in and whisked him away.
When Henry spotted the neighbor’s big water wheel spinning, he decided he just had to stop it with his own bare hands. Picture this: the usually intimidating CEO, who in everyone else’s eyes was all business, now balancing a pastel water bottle in one hand and his actual sweetie in the other. “Henry, over here! If you don’t come now, Daddy’s gonna have to give you a spanking!”
Cedillo Inc. had all sorts of fun spaces inside. At lunch, the gym rats would sneak in for a quick workout. The second Henry managed to slip inside, his dad was right there pulling him back out. “Those machines are bigger than you, little man. What are you doing in here?”
After half an hour of running around downstairs, Andre scooped Henry into his arms, the little guy cheerfully sipping from his water bottle, and headed back to the office together.
Soon, everything got quiet—everyone knew that meant Henry had finally crashed.
When Mia finished her afternoon meetings, she stretched, eager to check on her troublemaker, half-wondering if he’d managed to stir up any chaos today.
She pushed open Andre’s office door and stopped dead. “Henry!”
Henry looked up with a cheeky grin, “Mommy, did you come pick up your sweetie?”
Andre, busy at his desk, glanced over and had to turn away to hide his laughter.
Mia closed the door behind her. “Who turned your face into a little kitty?”
Andre shrugged, “He did it himself.”
Henry, still half-asleep, pouted dramatically from the couch. Andre grabbed a pen and some paper. “Come here, let Dad show you how to write. School’s starting soon and you don’t even know your letters!”
But Henry had found something even better to do. In no time, he’d swiped the pen from his dad and started doodling all over the paper—and himself. Father and son, each in their own world, the office had never been so peaceful.
