The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter novel Chapter 976

Chapter 976: THE FINAL BATTLE (42)

Lou created a portal for them to leave this pack, to reach Lucentsand desert and got to Rei and Liam. Iris could sense them were still there.

Thus, once the night fell all of them left immediately, because they only had a really short time to take care of Rei. Once the sun rose, they needed to get out of there.

Aliana came to see them leaving, she hugged Ethan and Jace. This mission was especially heavy for her, because her brother and her lover were part of it. She really wanted to go, but she had another important task to be done here.

She failed to protect the alpha and the luna’s babies before, she was not going to let that happened again. Anything could happen at this point and they had to prepare for the worst.

"Please, come back," Aliana whispered to Ethan and Jace, hugged the two of them tightly.

Both men smiled at her and reassured her that everything would be alright that they would return with victory.

"We are with Iris, you know. The most powerful magic user," Ethan grinned. "There is nothing to be worried about."

On the other hand, Abby tried not to hear that comment and focused on Bielle, she left her baby with Arella and her wet nurse.

"Are you, okay?" Cedric checked on her and Abby nodded.

"I am fine."

"Let’s go."

There were total of ten people, who would leave with the alpha and the luna. Currently, Lou was with Sabian and Nala, as the woman told him to return. He had created the portal and told them all to leave now.

"Let them to have their moment," Nala said. She didn’t want to admit it, but she was nervous to let Lou leave. She was afraid if something bad happened to him.

"They can have their moment once we returned. Time is essential," Lou said, unhappy.

However, Nala did something that caught the merchant out of guard, she tiptoed and kissed his lips, it was not an innocent kiss, as she pulled him down, forced him to bend his body to accommodate her height.

After that, she hugged him tightly. "Don’t die."

Lou blinked his eyes. He was shocked with Nala’s initiative. But, well... a kiss and a hug were always welcomed. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

Not long after that, they departed. All of them went through the portal and the first thing they could feel was this soft sand they landed. The smell of it brought back memory for Lou, who used to spend his time in the black market.

Unfortunately, the black market had gone for good.

"Nostalgic," Lou commented, the moment they were there. The night was rather cold, because the winter just ended.

Cane tightened the cloak around Iris’s body. "Do you know where his exact location?"

"Yes." Iris started to walk toward where she could sense Rei and Liam’s spirit. She remembered what Abby said about Rei that people in the Holy Kingdom saw him as the Holy spirit.

Iris really wanted to scoff at that statement, because she had never sensed someone as malice as him, even his spirit was rotten.

Suddenly Cane stopped walking. He stared at the distance.

She stared at Liam’s face, but he didn’t even look at her. His eyes were empty. What Rei had done to him? Why he didn’t recognize her?

Elder Rose was right. If Liam was with Rei, it was almost the same if he had gone.

"You are the true Decratic, right?" Iris blurted it out. It was not coming out of nowhere, but she had this discussion with Cane and came with this conclusion. "You are the real Decratic. You are not protectors."

Rei didn’t seem surprised with the accusation. He looked as calm as ever.

However, suddenly his figure flickered and he appeared in front of Iris and Cane, his movement was so fast, no one predicted this.

"I don’t know how I can explain this to you, Na. But, I have told you that I will give you the world and do anything for you and I meant it."

Cane immediately pulled Iris behind his back and black wisp emerged from his body, but the sand suddenly became less stable, as if it melted under them, swallowing them slowly.

"I love you, Na. If you still couldn’t see that. I don’t know what else should I do to prove it to you." Rei moved very quick, as he snatched Iris from Cane, while the alpha and the rest of them were being sucked into the sand.

However, the moment Rei touched her, Iris grabbed his hand instead and didn’t let go. She was still close enough with Cane to draw the sixth sword from him.

Iris did it swiftly and stabbed Rei in his chest, but he dipped his nails on her neck, leaving scar there.

"If I have to die, you are going with me too," Rei said. His eyes filled with sadness. "I am not going to let you leave me alone anymore. Let the existence of the Serafim and Decratic ended with us."

Rei didn’t have any intention to escape this time, but because Iris didn’t want to be with him and determined to kill him, he was not going to give her happily ever after.
