Chapter 104

When I walk downstairs to get coffee, it’s chaos. Not the usual chaos. Today, there’s an undercurrent of frustration.

“What’s going on?” I ask James as I walk in.

“Apparently Emma was on clean up duty last night and left the kitchen. “Apparently Emma was on

a fucking mess. And not only the kitchen. It looks like she and whoever she was with had a party and most likely got drunk last night,” James says, watching as all of the assistants are in the back helping to clean.

“Logan?” I ask him.

“That would be my guess,” he says.

“Do you guys need any help?” I ask the assistants in the back.

“No. Like we told Alpha James, you’ll just be in the way. Let us do this,” Mia says from somewhere in the back where I can’t see her.

“Because you don’t fucking go to bed without doing your assigned tasks, Emma! Do I have to fucking stand over you to make sure you get your shit done?” Sylvie demands as she walks in, dragging a still half- asleep or more likely, hungover Emma behind her.

“No, Luna,” she says.

“Obviously, I do! Now everyone is behind because you didn’t pull your damn weight. This is your last warning, Emma. If it happens again, you’re out. Honestly, I should kick you out now. Not having you here would make all of our lives casier. At least then shit would get done.

There’s a lot of banging and cursing. I watch while Mia, Christina, and Charlotte all walk out of the kitchen, looking behind them.

When Christina looks at me, her eyes widen like she’s surprised that Sylvie is losing her shit like she is.

“Maybe we should just get rid of her. Josephine will be here next weekend, right?‘ I ask James quietly.

“Yeah. I’ll talk to Sylvie about it. It’s her call,”

“Alphas,” Christina says, handing both of us a cup of coffee.

“Thanks, Christina. You didn’t have to do that,” I say.

“I need to do something. I’ve never seen Sylvie that angry before.”

“Believe me, that woman has a temper,” James says. “Who is helping Haley with breakfast?”

“Laura and Alpha Ezra. Poor guy, it’s hard enough when you don’t know what you’re doing, but with all of that going on…” she cuts off as we hear a pan slamming against a counter and more cursing.

As the other Alphas come in, Christina moves beside me. My scent ist strong on her this morning, probably because my cum was on her body. for so long before she washed it off last night. “How are you feeling this morning, Sebastian?”

I smile, taking a sip of coffee. “Fucking fantastic, thank you.”

She tries to hide her proud smile, but I still see it.

Chap 104

“We may have to switch for a bit, with me practicing on you. I started my period so I’m going to be a little too sensitive for a couple of days.”

“Gee, twist my arm,” I say, making her laugh. She has such a beautiful laugh.

“I’ll strive to be even better. That’s the goal, right? To be the best?” she

asks.

I look at her and nod. Yeah, that is the goal, but how the hell am I going to deal with her being a better lover to me than my own mate

was?

Since we have the morning free, I go over my plans for the week. I find James and talk to him about how we’re planning to push these Alphas to their breaking point. Tyler and Christina are easy; we’ll use their brothers. Noah seems to have issues trying to live up to his father’s expectations, so we’ll use that. According to James, he thinks Liam has father issues too, so we’re going to push to exploit that this week. Ezra will be tough, but I think we’ll break him by forcing him to realize he can’t always be first and the best at everything. And Logan, well, Logan just gets beaten down until he realizes that arrogance doesn’t make him better than anyone else.
