The ring swing is new for her. In wolf form, it’s a single bar for the wolf to grab with its mouth. In human form, they are rings hanging from long bands, one for each hand. If you don’t grab both rings, it’s harder to swing across. I land on the other side. and turn to see Christina in the air before grabbing both rings and swinging hard. She lands on her platform as I race across the knife throw and out in front of the wall, the last challenge.

I hear the whistling of the knives as I pump my legs hard, to make it up the wall. I can feel her right behind me and I grab handhold, pulling myself up. I can practically feel Christina breathing down my neck

I get to the top and pull myself over about two seconds before Christina does the same.

“DAMMIT!” she says, as we both lay there panting

lauy. rolling over and getting to my feet. I help her up then pull her into a hug.

“That was damn good!” I tell her.

“Well, there’s always tomorrow,” she says.

“Yep,” I say, then look around at the platform.

“And someday very soon, we’ll be up here at night, trying not to get caught,” I say quietly, feeling the excitement of what the future holds

“You never said it had to be at night, Sebastian. Just that we’d have to be careful not to get caught,” Christina says, smirking at me as she gets on the ladder to climb down.

Damn that woman is so sexy.

When we get back to the start, the other Alphas encourage her that she was close to defeating me and then they, too, take their turn.

Noah finally defeats Benjamin, dancing around at the top of the wall excitedly, making all of us laugh.

Ezra loses to Daniel, but I’m sure that he struggled at the fire area. Tyler got sliced by a knife and it impacted his ability to defeat James. I ran against Liam in wolf form, but he fell at the swinging bar. Logan went against Benjamin and finally finished the Beast, but he didn’t defeat Benjamin.

After dinner, Christina comes up to me. “Fifteen minutes?”

“See you then,” I say.
