“Yep,” I say again.
He smiles and releases my chin. “Sparring was good. Shane is a strong fighter, like you.”
“Yes, he is,” I say, finally feeling like I can say something meaningful.

“I’m going to shower then I’ll be down for dinner. Why don’t with me tonight. I’ll guide you through conversing with the pack during mealtimes.”

I should say no. I should say that I can figure it out on my own. Instead, I just blurt out my agreement.
“Perfect, I’ll see you downstairs in about twenty minutes,” he says.
“See you then,” I say, turning and forcing myself not to rush down the stairs to get away from this man before he can smell my arousal.
How the heck am I going to get through dinner without him smelling me?

After a great sparring session with Shane, I’d seen Enya sitting in the same chair that I found her crying in last night as we returned to the packhouse. I wanted to talk with her anyway, but now I’m worried that she might be up there crying alone again.
“Great. See you downstairs,” he says, going into his room. I turn and knock on Enya’s door.
