Perfect. Her body is fucking perfect. I’d glanced at her earlier when we were running, but I’d been focused on winning. If I’d taken even a moment to look at her, there’s no way I would have won. I’d have been stumbling over my feet at the start.

“Fear of failure. Lack of confidence. Feeling like a fish swimming among sharks. I’m not really sure. What I do know is that he’s overcome with grief.”

“You’re worried about him.” It’s a statement, not a question.

“We all are. The strain of the Academy is hard enough without having to do it while still grieving your brother and Alpha.”

“Dane did it,” she says quietly.

“And I have no doubt that Tyler will as well and that your little star rating is correct. He’ll be your biggest competition this semester. I just need to make sure that it doesn’t break him.”

“I know the Lunas will look out for him and I had planned to do so as well. We won’t let him fall, Sebastian,” she says confidently.
