“Touched,” Tyler says, smiling as he shoulder bumps me.

“I’ll think about it,” I say. “For now, we should go move our clothes from the washers to the dryers.”

“That might have been my secret reason for walking with you this morning. I didn’t want to end up with wet clothes that I didn’t know how to dry,” Ezra says, smiling at me.

“You’re a bit different than I thought you would be,” I tell him.

“What do you mean?” he asks as we walk back.

“My first impression was a hardcore, no–nonsense Alpha. But I saw you with Charlotte that first night at the sex class and now this… almost playful side of you,” I say.

He shrugs. “I’m so used to being in ‘Alpha mode‘ all the time that I don’t get a lot of opportunities to relax and just be me. Here, where everyone is more or less equal, I’m finding it a bit easier to relax. At least in some instances and with some people,” he says.

“I kind of like this softer side of Ezra,” I say.

“Shhh, don’t tell anyone and if you come visit my pack, DEFINITELY don’t tell anyone.”

“Your secret is safe with me, Alpha,” I say, laughing as we walk into the dining hall on our way to the laundry room.

“Christina said to use bleach for your whites,” he says, holding up a pair of boxes that are now pastel pink.

“I said if you separate your clothes, you can use bleach, not to use bleach when you put all your clothes in one load!” I say.

He looks in the washing machine. “Everything in here is pink! Even my red shirt is now pink.”
