Chapter 105
Chloe’s question instantly caused the crowd to throw her judgmental glances and start gossiping.
Andrea rushed forward to explain, “Please don’t misunderstand, Mrs. Hamilton! My period suddenly came early and I accidentally got my clothes messy. Mr. Hamilton was just being polite and helped me out for a
moment.”
Chloe fired back, “You’re friends with Miss Monroe. If you needed help, why didn’t you ask any of your girlfriends here? Why did you have to go looking for my husband?”
Under Chloe’s relentless questions and all those judging eyes, Andrea looked pitifully at Ian, her lips trembling as she tried to say something but couldn’t get the words out.
Andrea’s whole demeanor just screamed guilt–at this point, it was basically a silent confession that there was definitely something fishy between her and Ian.
Ian fixed his gaze on Chloe, his expression a storm of complicated emotions as he watched her every move.
He pulled Chloe closer and said, “Don’t get the wrong idea. I was just helping out.”
Chloe yanked her hand away from Ian right in front of everyone.
She deliberately raised her voice. “Ian, she was calling you so intimately in front of everyone–it’s not like people didn’t see it!”
“You left me stranded at the party, brought her into our private lounge, and had her wearing my clothes. And now you expect me to buy that you were just helping out?”
Chloe pressed, “What am I to you as your wife? Where do I even stand?”
Their eyes met, and Ian’s chest tightened.
Ian took a step closer, staring Chloe down as he muttered under his breath, “Are you seriously going to put me on blast like this?”
Ian knew full well Chloe was doing this on purpose.
The mahjong game was just a smokescreen–what she really wanted was to catch him red–handed.
‘I’m doing this on purpose. I just want to put everything between Ian and Andrea out in the open. Chloe thought.
‘I hate him.‘ Chloe’s heart screamed.
‘I want payback.‘ Chloe burned with the urge for revenge.
‘I want to make a huge scene and use Edward to force both Ian and Andrea to pay for what they’ve done. Chloe plotted.

Chapter 105
Seeing lan’s expression go dark, Chloe immediately buried herself in Amelia Monroe’s arms.
She whimpered pitifully, tears streaming down her cheeks. “Grandma Amelia, I feel so miserable, vols sob.
Amelia Monroe and Chloe’s grandmother were sworn sisters. Back in the day, Amelia really thought highly of Chloe and even wanted her to marry into her family as her eldest grandson’s wife.
But since the Irvine and Hamilton families already had an engagement, and Chloe was hopelessly in love with Ian, Amelia had no choice but to give up on the idea.
Now, seeing Chloe so wronged, Amelia’s expression changed instantly. “Ian, even if the Irvine family goes bankrupt, as long as I’m still breathing, don’t you dare bully Chloe!”
Before Ian could get a word out, Yvonne Langley stepped in, “Mr. Hamilton, I thought you were different from other guys, but I guess you’re no better.”
Another older lady jumped in, “Mr. Hamilton, if you’re gonna cheat, at least pick someone who’s actually a step up from your wife. How do you even hook up with someone this trashy? Is this your idea of making your wife miserable?”
Yvonne shifted her gaze to Vivian, who was standing beside Andrea.
Yvonne said, “Miss Monroe, you really ought to be more picky about your friends. Don’t bring just anyone into our social circle.”
Vivian knew full well how sharp Yvonne’s tongue could be. She sneaked a glance over at Amelia Monroe, but didn’t dare say a word.
Andrea clenched her fists so tightly her knuckles turned white.
‘Why do they all think I’m beneath them? Why does everyone feel entitled to step all over me?‘ Andrea. seethed inside.
When it came to pedigree, she was in no way inferior to Chloe.
In terms of looks, her face was no less stunning–at least as refined as Chloe’s.
As for personality, she’d always played the part of the perfect, independent woman in front of lan.
‘Why does Chloe get to stand tall in the elite circles, while I’m the one everyone shuns?‘ Andrea fumed inwardly.
Andrea looked at Ian with a pitiful expression. “I’m sorry, Mr. Hamilton. I’ve caused you trouble again.”
Seeing everyone ganging up on Andrea, lan couldn’t help but step in. “You should head back first.”
Andrea had already gotten what she wanted and didn’t want to stick around any longer.
She shot Chloe a pointed look, then turned and walked away.

He turned to Amelia and said, “There’s been a misunderstanding. I’ll make sure to explain everything properly to my wife.”
Before Amelia could finish, a brash, scornful shout exploded from behind. “Who the hell said you could leave, you bitch?”
Ian tried to haul Chloe off, but she jerked herself free with all the strength she had.
Ian instantly seized her wrist in a firm, unyielding grip, refusing to let her go. When he spoke again, his tone was pure threat.
“Chloe, don’t forget who you are,” he said.

Chapter 105
With that, lan dragged her off without giving her a choice.
A
The elevator doors opened, and Thomas Quinn from the Old Hamilton Manor stepped out, flanked by two teams of bodyguards.
Thomas walked over, bent respectfully to lan and Chloe, and said, “Sir, ma’am, Edward wants both of you back at the Old Hamilton Manor right away.”
Ian’s gaze
drifted past the bodyguards to Patrick, who was standing in the back.
Patrick shot Ian a defiant look. “Yeah, I was the one who ratted you out. Go ahead, get my dad to lock me up again if you can.”
Ian dropped his gaze, falling silent for a moment.
He turned to Andrea and said, “You should head back first.”
Andrea walked toward the elevator, her steps shaky and uncertain.
Thomas Quinn from the Old Hamilton Manor stepped forward, stopping her with a firm arm. “Ms. Sherman. I’m afraid you can’t leave just yet.”
Andrea’s face went ghostly pale.
She looked to Ian, panic flooding her eyes. “Ian, I’m scared.”
Ian shot a glance at Chloe, paused for a split second, and reluctantly dropped her hand.
He strode up to Andrea, grabbed her wrist right in front of Chloe, and walked her over to the elevator himself.
One sharp look from Thomas, and every bodyguard instantly formed a barrier, blocking the elevator doors. Thomas bowed and announced, “Sir, The Old Man said it himself–Ms. Sherman has to come with us.”
