Mitchell suddenly turned the accusation back on them, and the three women instantly flipped out.

Violet was even more convinced now that Mitchell and Chloe Chlocin on this together.

She jabbed a finger at Chloe and said, “Deny it all you want, there are security cameras at the entrance”

Melody Sherman, Andrea’s sister–in–law, lunged at Mitchell. “You act all innocent, but you’re vicious as hell! You were the one leading people to block us, and now you’re trying to put the blame on us?”

Mitchell threw his arm up to shield his face, stumbling back as Melody charged him, but he kept stubbornly insisting. “I was just passing by!”

Chloe said, “I trust Mr. Garrison. He’s just not someone who would ever lie.”

She’d known Mitchell for years–if there’s one thing she was sure about, it’s that he was always straight–up and

honest.

Chloe frowned and warned Violet, “Mrs. Quinn, I know you have a bone to pick with me, but Andrea broke the law–that’s on her. She made her own bed, so don’t try to dump the blame on me.”

Violet snapped back, “Dr. Irvine, don’t put words in my mouth. I’m just here for a meal, not because of you.”

Chloe was clearly annoyed now. “Violet, you married into the Quinn family, all thanks to your kid. Seriously, just go home and take care of the pregnancy. If you’re always scheming against me and something happens to your baby, don’t count on staying Mrs. Quinn.

“You dare curse my child?!” Violet yelled.

Violet grabbed the glass of juice off the table and flung it right at Chloe.

Patrick reacted instantly, pulling Chloe to his side. Mitchell quickly stepped in, turning to shield Chloe, and ended up getting drenched with juice.

Chloe quickly grabbed some tissues and handed them to Mitchell.

Smack!

Mia swung her hand and slapped Violet hard across the face. “You bitch! How dare you splash my sister–in–law –and then my sister? I’ll slap you senseless!”

Mia caught herself in front of Chloe and quickly changed ‘sister–in–law‘ to ‘sister‘.

Violet was left ashamed and seething from Mia’s slap.

Vivian Monroe pointed at Mia, her eyes filled with disbelief. “Miss Hamilton, you actually struck a pregnant woman! Aren’t you afraid the Quinn family will make your life a living hell?”

Chloe, worried Mia would get dragged into trouble, blocked Vivian and, without hesitation, slapped her

across the face. “I slapped you. So what? Come on–show me what kind of payback the Quinn family’s got.”

Vivian clutched her burning check, furious. “Chloe, who do you think you are? Without the Hamilton family to cover for you, you’re nothing but a nobody!”

Chloe turned around and tried to pull Mia back, but Mia shoved her away.

Mia’s temper snapped. She rolled up her sleeves, grabbed a fistful of Violer’s hair, and shouted, “Think your pregnancy makes you safe? Watch me beat that kid right out of you!”

Violet shrieked in terror, desperately guarding her stomach, while Melody barreled over like a wild banshee.

Patrick and Mitchell watched as the four women devolved into all–out chaos and hurried over to break up the fight.

“I’ll fight you all!” Melody shouted.

Melody had grown up in a fishmonger’s family, wading through the madness of the marketplace since she was a kid–when she started throwing down, she was a straight–up spitfire and tough as nails.

All she cared about now was keeping Violet’s baby safe, and the Sherman family’s future glory–Melody was going all–in, consequences be damned.

She darted behind Mitchell and Patrick, caught a handful of each of their hair in her fists, and held on for dear life, absolutely refusing to let go.

Mitchell’s short hair made it easy for him–he was the first to shake her off.

Patrick’s spiky, dyed hair didn’t stand a chance–when Melody grabbed a handful, he let out a loud, miserable. “Owww!”

The four women were locked in a full–blown catfight, making a total mess of the place.

It got so out of hand that waiters and random guests had to jump in and pry them apart.

Violet’s face was puffed up and burning from that slap Mia landed.

She slumped into her chair, clutching her belly and looking absolutely wrecked, shouting at Melody to call the police right now.

Melody, hair all over the place and looking like she’d totally lost it, pointed at Chloe and everyone else, breathless and furious. “Not one of you is leaving!”

Vivian’s coat had ended up on the floor, her hair was a tangled mess, and her face was streaked with bright red. marks from all the slaps.

She threw Chloe a smug, taunting glance. “Guess you didn’t realize–the police chief’s last name is Quinn. Just wait, you’re all in for some real trouble.”

Chloe simply ignored Vivian’s provocation.

Patrick was losing his mind. “That crazy bitch!”

Her long hair was hanging loose, there was a fresh scratch from Vivian’s nails across her face, and the waist chain on her dress had been torn right off by Vivian–she looked just as battered as the rest.

Mitchell was too much of a straight–shooter, facing this kind of wild brawl for the first time, he looked absolutely lost, just stuck there like a deer in headlights.

And let’s not forget Melody, Andrea’s sister–in–law–an absolute force of nature, a powerhouse who’d tear right through anyone in her way.

Once the dust settled, Chloe quietly sent out a message.

Mitchell just wanted to help.

Now even Mia and Patrick had ended up in the crossfire.

Soon enough, Violet was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, while the rest of them were hauled off to the police station.

7 PM, at the police station.

Henry, head of the Quinn family, showed up, followed soon after by Ian and his parents.

Henry was furious. “Shane, if anything happens to my wife or my child, I swear–even if it’s the last thing I do -the Hamilton family won’t get away with it!”

Miranda quickly stepped up. “Mr. Quinn, if my daughter’s at fault, whatever comes next, the Hamilton family. will take full responsibility. We’re not running away from this.”

Ian stood beside his parents. He and his father stayed silent, faces clouded and grim.

A few minutes later, they were finally let out.

When Henry, lan, and their parents finally caught sight of Patrick and Mitchell–shirts torn, faces and necks streaked with fresh scratches, looking every bit like they’d been dragged backwards through a bar fight–they were stunned speechless, just staring in shock at the two of them.

Mitchell snuck a nervous glance at Henry and Shane, quietly sizing them up as they stood beside lan

Then he walked up to lan, turning on the pity full–force. “Mr. Hamilton, you know today was my day off-1 was just picking up some food for my wife, happened to pass by the restaurant. That’s when I heard Mrs. Quinn and Miss Monroe straight up attacking Dr. Irvine’s character, scheming to drug her and record some disgusting video to blast all over the internet. I couldn’t stand back and let that happen, so I tried to step in and reason with them. But they twisted the whole thing and ganged up on me instead–look what they did to

Henry snapped, his expression turning defensive. “Absolutely not! That’s not what my wife said!”

Vivian butted in right behind Mitchell. “Mr. Quinn, don’t believe a word he says! He’s the one who brought Hamilton’s bodyguards and tried to threaten Mrs. Quinn!”

Melody jabbed a finger at Mitchell and went off. “Mitchell, quit talking shit! Keep running your mouth like that and you’ll never have any kids!”

Mitchell looked at Ian, whose face was twisted up like he’d just sucked on a lemon, and decided to just stay

silent.

Jan clapped Mitchell on the shoulder, cool as ever. “You work for Hamilton Group. If people can walk all over you like that, it doesn’t look good for me either. Get checked out at the hospital–I promise, I’ll make things right for you.

Mia, feeling bad about all the trouble she’d stirred up, shrank right behind Patrick and didn’t dare poke her head out.

Patrick tapped the scratches on his own face. “No way, I need a damage check too! Tomorrow, I’m sending my grandma over to each of their doors–she’ll raise hell till I get payback.”

Henry could see the situation slipping out of his control, and his face kept shifting as he struggled to process the sudden turn of events.
