After parting with Miranda and Mia, Chloe returned to the house she’d shared with Ian.

She called a moving company and spent the afternoon stripping the place bare.

The “junk” she removed was scattered across half the garden, but she left it there. There was no point in cleaning up.

As night fell, Andrea arrived with Clint.

Andrea looked around the empty living room and gave Chloe a guarded look. “Mrs. Hamilton, why did you call us here?”

She couldn’t help but wonder if Chloe was settling scores because she had deliberately spoken ill of her in front of Ian that day.

Chloe stood by the windows, looking at the piles of “junk.” She said calmly, “Ms. Sherman, you can have Ian. He’s all yours.”

Andrea’s eyes darted nervously. “Mrs. Hamilton, if you really wanted to step aside, you would have done it long ago. Why now?”

Andrea was at a loss about what to do now.

Chloe turned to the empty house. “Ian and I have known each other since childhood. I loved him, but his heart belongs to you.”

Andrea tried to sound calm but couldn’t hide her excitement. “Ms. Irvine, are you really letting us be together?”

Chloe nodded. “I’ve known Ian for over twenty years. He’s always been honest with me, except about you. He lied to my face and stayed away for a month without a word.”

Andrea’s gaze

me so much…”

flickered uneasily. “I’m sorry, Ms. Irvine. I tried to convince lan to come home, but he’d missed

She left her words hanging, which made it even more painful.

Chloe forced a bitter laugh. “Ms. Sherman, you don’t have to pretend. lan never hid his love for you.”

Her voice was steady, but there was pain behind it. “He told me himself. He said he wanted to marry you. He only ended up with me because he couldn’t have you.”

Andrea’s heart pounded. ‘I knew it. Jan’s feelings for me never faded,‘ she thought.

Chloe’s eyes lingered on Clint. “I’m finally at peace with it. You and lan are so in love, and you have a kid together. I should have let you have him long ago.”

Excited, Andrea grabbed Chloe’s hand. “Thank you, Ms. Irvine, for your blessing!”

Chloe quickly withdrew her hand. “I’ve left lan’s valuables untouched. I’ve also set up a renovation appointment. You can choose any style, and I’ll cover the costs. Consider it a wedding gift.”

She added, “I cleared out the music room upstairs and had it redesigned as a children’s room. That’s my gift

to Clint.”

Andrea, excited, pulled Clint forward. “Clint, thank Ms. Irvine”

Clint looked up and said clearly, “Thank you, Ms. Irvine.”

Chloe ruffled Clint’s hair. “What an adorable kid. No wonder lan loves him so much.”

Andrea hurried Clint out of the room.

“Ms. Irvine, this is all my fault, Ian and I have wronged you. He’s been so torn, trying to balance everything for me and Clint. Sometimes I wish I knew how to help him. Thank you for letting us be together,” said

She couldn’t believe Chloe was stepping aside so easily. As long as she moved in, no one would ever be able to chase her out.

Chloe took out a divorce agreement and a bank card from her purse.

She handed them to Andrea. “Get Ian to sign these papers. And let him know that there’s 300 million on this card. The day we officially divorce, I’ll give him the password.”

Andrea clutched the documents and card, barely containing her excitement.

She was stunned. Chloe was filthy rich, just tossing out 300 million like spare change.

Chloe looked at the wedding ring on her finger.

She’d worn it for three years, never taking it off.

She remembered the day when Ian put that ring on her finger, she’d been crying her eyes out.

Ian smiled, “If you love it, just wear it. Never take it off.”

Through her tears, she’d joked, “Unless I drop dead, I’ll never take this ring off.”

Looking back, she realized how naive she’d been.

Andrea stared at the diamond ring on Chloe’s finger, her eyes filled with jealousy.

If it hadn’t been for those three stubborn elders in the Hamilton family, that ring would have been hers.

The title of Mrs. Hamilton should have been hers.

Seeing Chloe hesitate, Andrea stepped closer. “Ms. Irvine, since Ian doesn’t love you anymore, that wedding ring means nothing to you. Could you give it to me?”

Chloe looked up, seeing the anticipation in Andrea’s eyes. Without hesitation, she slipped off the ring and put it on Andrea’s finger.

Her eyes were rimmed with tears, but Chloe’s voice was steady. “I’m letting you have lan. He’s yours now.”

Chloe continued, “Ms. Sherman, keep this between us for now. Let him focus on his project overseas. When he returns in three days, you and Clint can surprise him.”
