Even as Yves, Winona, and their family stepped into the elevator, she was still speechless, her lips turning a shade of purple from suppressed rage.
It was Janetta who finally calmed her down. "My dear, don't waste your energy on a trash-picking old crone. It's not worth it. She's a low-life, but we are people of class. From now on, you just need to enjoy the good fortune your granddaughter will bring you."
Janetta's words finally soothed Old Mrs. Shepherd. For the rest of the meal, Janetta sang Felicity's praises to her high-society friends, successfully launching her into their exclusive circle. She liked Felicity a hundred times more than she had ever liked Winona. Years of animosity, compounded by the humiliation of the video divorce, had solidified her disdain. By comparison, Felicity was infinitely superior.
After the meal, Janetta personally drove the Shepherds to Julian's villa. It was spacious enough to accommodate the entire family with rooms to spare. Julian was still at the office, dealing with year-end business. The only people home were four housekeepers and Tiana, who had just started her winter break.
Tiana was a little curious, and a little scared, to see so many of Miss Felly's relatives suddenly arrive. But at least her grandmother was there. She ran up to them and said sweetly, "Grandma, Miss Felly."
"Tiana, you shouldn't call her Miss Felly anymore. You should call her Mommy," Janetta corrected her.
Tiana used to be eager to call Felicity "Mommy." But ever since her parents' video divorce, she no longer wanted to. She stared at Felicity, taking a small step back, her expression hesitant.
Felicity noticed, and her heart sank, but she kept a smile on her face. "Tiana, have you grown distant because we haven't seen each other as much lately? That's my fault. I promise I'll spend every day of your winter break with you, okay?"
Felicity sat on the sofa, took out her phone, and made a call, her voice light and cheerful. "Hi, Teresa? Just wanted to let you know, I'm officially moved into my fiancé's villa. My future mother-in-law adores me. I'm so grateful for these twins."
At the mention of twins, Tiana, who had been standing nearby, grew curious. Wanting to please Felicity, she tiptoed over to her. With a bright smile, she leaned against Felicity's legs and looked up, her small hands gently touching Felicity's stomach. "Mommy, are my little brother and sister in your tummy? I'm so happy."
Startled, Felicity, who had been engrossed in her phone call, jumped. "What do you think you're doing?" she shrieked, her voice suddenly sharp and cold. "Are you trying to hurt my babies? You vicious little thing! Get away from me!"
