"What did you say?" Jason asked, sure he'd misheard.

Old Mrs. Shepherd and Old Mr. Shepherd stared at Felicity in disbelief.

Henrietta, still collapsed on the floor, snapped her head up, her eyes wide with terror. "What are you talking about? You… you're not a Shepherd?"

Even Felicity seemed stunned by her own words.

She quickly backpedaled, trying to change the subject. "I'm pregnant. I can't risk my own health right now. This baby… it's our family's only lifeline. If I go through with the transplant for Dad and something happens to the baby, we'll all be ruined."

The Shepherds let out a collective sigh of relief.

Felicity let out a dry, hollow laugh."Why don't you all eat? Sophie made plenty of food. The kids' clothes are a mess, so I'm going to take them to a discount store for some new things."

With that, Felicity, holding her children's hands and cradling her pregnant belly, walked out the door.

Jason turned to Henrietta. "Mom, when we found Felly, how many labs did you use for the DNA test?"

"Three!" Henrietta insisted.

"And… how many times did you test Winona Perkins?"

"Just… once," Henrietta admitted. "It was when your brother Jason was at his sickest and needed a bone marrow transplant. She got tested, and that's when we found out. You all know this."

Jason fell silent.

A few minutes later, he noticed a strand of hair on the floor where Felicity had been sitting. He carefully picked it up, placed it in a small bag, and wrote Felicity's name on it with a pen he found nearby.

He muttered to himself, "If only I had a sample of Winona's hair."

Henrietta's voice was hesitant. "What about her daughter's… Tiana Nicholson's? Would that work?"

Jason looked at her, surprised. "You have Tiana's hair?"

Henrietta bit her lip. "One day, I was just so disgusted looking at her that I… I ripped out a clump of her hair and stuffed it inside a crude doll I made. I was going to find someone to put a curse on her, but I never got around to it. The doll should still be under the bed in my old room. I don't know if it's still there."

Without waiting for an explanation, Julian had his bodyguards forcibly remove all four Shepherds from the premises.
