The Billionaire’s Regret -Alessa (by Bukolami) novel Chapter 51

**Shadows Beneath the Silent Moon**
**Rising Echoes by Aiden R. Vale**
**Chapter 51**

“We’re off to Vegas!” Aria’s cheerful voice rang out, her excitement infectious as they boarded Alessa’s private jet. The moment they stepped inside, the luxurious interior enveloped them, plush seats and soft lighting creating an inviting atmosphere.

As they settled in, Tracy cradled Aria in her arms, the little girl giggling as she nestled against her. Aiden, on the other hand, chose solitude, opting for a seat away from the group, lost in his own thoughts.

Within minutes, the engines roared to life, and the jet ascended into the sky, leaving the world behind. Tracy engaged the twins, her laughter mingling with their playful chatter, while Alessa, ever the diligent entrepreneur, pulled out her laptop, ready to tackle the work that awaited her.

Hours passed, and the rhythmic hum of the plane lulled the twins into a peaceful slumber. They were laid down gently, their tiny bodies nestled into the soft blankets, oblivious to the world around them.

Tracy, sitting across from Alessa, couldn’t help but watch her friend as she typed away, her brow furrowed in concentration. A whirlwind of questions swirled in Tracy’s mind, each one more pressing than the last. After a moment’s hesitation, she finally broke the silence.

“When are you going to tell them?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, yet heavy with concern. Alessa glanced up, her expression one of confusion, her brow arching slightly.

“Huh?” Alessa replied, momentarily distracted.

“Your kids. When are you going to tell them about their father?” Tracy pressed, her eyes searching Alessa’s face for any hint of a response. Alessa merely shrugged, her gaze drifting back to the screen.

“You know you can’t keep this from them forever, right? They’ll find out eventually,” Tracy insisted, her tone firm yet understanding.

“Let them find out, then. Honestly, I’d rather avoid the whole dramatic revelation,” Alessa replied, her focus unwavering as she typed, the glow of the screen illuminating her determined expression.

Tracy leaned forward, her curiosity piqued. “But how did you—”

“I worked,” Alessa interjected, cutting her off with a sharpness that hung in the air.

“What kind of work can turn someone into a billionaire in just six years?” Tracy pressed, a mix of admiration and disbelief in her voice. Alessa sighed, her fingers pausing on the keyboard as she considered the question.

“What work? What job did you do?” Tracy continued, her curiosity intensifying. The mystery of Alessa’s sudden wealth had been gnawing at her ever since Alessa returned, and Tracy was determined to uncover the truth.

Their father had spent over a decade building his empire, and he had generational wealth to fall back on. So how had Alessa managed to rise from obscurity to billionaire status in a mere six years? It was mind-boggling!

“I did what I had to do to survive,” Alessa replied quietly, her voice laced with an emotion Tracy couldn’t quite decipher.

“What…” Tracy began, but Alessa’s sharp gaze silenced her.
