The Billionaire’s Regret -Alessa (by Bukolami) novel Chapter 53

**Shadows Beneath the Silent Moon**

**Rising Echoes by Aiden R. Vale**

“Hey, baby. We’ve arrived, it’s time to wake up,” Alessa whispered gently, her fingers lightly tapping Aria’s shoulder. A soft groan escaped Aria’s lips as she slowly blinked awake, the remnants of sleep still clinging to her like a warm blanket.

With a languid stretch, Aria reached out her arms toward Alessa, who beamed with affection as she scooped her up into a warm embrace. The moment felt tender, a quiet connection amidst the bustling world around them. Glancing over, Alessa spotted Tracy, who cradled Aiden in her arms. His head rested peacefully against her chest, a picture of innocence, while Tracy’s arms encircled his little frame protectively. Aiden, too, was still caught in the web of sleep, his eyelids fluttering as he fought to stay in that blissful state.

Alessa felt a wave of gratitude wash over her for having Tracy with them. It was a comfort, knowing that they could share this experience together.

As they made their way down the plane’s steps and into the warm embrace of the Las Vegas sun, Thane trailed behind them, his presence a steady reassurance.

Once they reached the car, they all piled in, the anticipation of the day ahead buzzing in the air. Alessa had arranged everything meticulously, ensuring they would have a comfortable stay in the lavish hotel she had chosen for them.

It was their first day in Vegas, and to the children, everything felt like a dream wrapped in the ordinary. They found themselves in a spacious suite, perfectly accommodating their little family, where laughter and excitement could fill the air without restraint.

“So, what are you guys planning for today?” Tracy inquired, her voice warm as she spoon-fed the twins their breakfast, the aroma of pancakes wafting through the air.

“Oh, Mummy is here on a business trip,” Aria replied, her small voice tinged with a hint of pride.

“Yes, and we don’t usually go out much either,” Aiden chimed in, his eyes wide with curiosity.

“We are going out today, but first, I need to finish this,” Alessa said, her focus unwavering as she typed away on her laptop. “After breakfast, you two need to get dressed.”

“What? Really?” Aiden’s voice rose with excitement, disbelief dancing in his eyes.

“Yes! I have a whole day planned for us. Our first few days here are going to be filled with fun!” Alessa declared, finally looking up to meet their eager gazes.

A chorus of joyful screams erupted from the twins, their excitement spilling over as they began to bounce around the room like little springs.

“Whoa, you two seem a bit too excited,” Tracy remarked, a smile tugging at her lips.

“Yes! We don’t get to go anywhere often. Mummy says the world is too dangerous,” Aria replied, her tone slightly serious as she settled into a chair opposite Tracy.

“Oh,” Tracy murmured, her mind racing with curiosity.

What was Alessa hiding? Why did she feel the need to shield her children? Was it Bryan? If she were truly hiding them from him, why would she bring them back? Who was she really?

Shaking off the thoughts, Tracy refocused on the task at hand, continuing to feed the children.

As they exited the hotel, Alessa, Tracy, and the kids were flanked by Thane and two other guards, their presence a silent promise of safety.

Once they were settled in the car, Thane slid into the front seat, his demeanor calm and watchful.
