**Chapter 80**
“Why did he kick her out?”
“Is that really her story?”
A flurry of whispers and murmurs filled the room, each voice tinged with curiosity and judgment as they turned their gazes toward Alessa. It was overwhelming, the weight of their stares pressing down on her like a heavy cloak. She could feel the heat of embarrassment creeping up her cheeks, and before she knew it, the dam she had built around her emotions broke. With tears brimming in her eyes, she bolted from the hall, her heart racing with a mix of anger and despair.
She sought refuge in the restroom, a small sanctuary where she could let the tears flow freely. The cool tiles beneath her feet felt grounding as she leaned against the sink, desperately trying to catch her breath.
“Alessa.”
The voice cut through her turmoil, and she paused mid-sob. She turned to see a fellow student in a green uniform sprinting toward her, urgency etched on her face.
“I have been looking for you,” the girl panted, her brow furrowed with concern.
“Why?” Alessa managed to ask, hastily wiping away the remnants of her tears, not wanting to appear vulnerable in front of anyone else.
“Madam Olga needs you in her office,” the girl replied, her tone leaving no room for argument as she turned and walked away, leaving Alessa standing there, her heart sinking.
With a heavy sigh, Alessa steeled herself, trying to summon a semblance of calm before making her way to Madam Olga’s office. The uncertainty gnawed at her insides—what could Madam Olga possibly want? A part of her feared it was about the fight, the very incident that had spiraled her day into chaos.
As she approached the door, she hesitated, her hand hovering for a moment before knocking softly. When she stepped inside, her breath caught in her throat. Rico stood in the center of the room, his presence both familiar and unsettling. But where was Madam Olga?
Seeing him should have brought her joy, yet all she felt was a mix of anger and sadness. Her day had already been a disaster, and this encounter felt like a cruel twist of fate.
With measured steps, she approached him, her heart pounding. Rico’s eyes were fixed on her, and the silence between them was thick with unspoken words. He could sense her frustration; after all, he was the catalyst for her current predicament.
Finally, breaking the silence, she asked, “I’m having a bad day already. Why are you here?” Her voice trembled slightly as she held his gaze, searching for answers.
Rico nodded slowly, his expression serious. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone, tapping it a few times before turning the screen toward her.
