Celeste stopped in her tracks, gave a soft hum, and asked from where she stood, "Where are Jo and the others?"
Trevor replied, "The rain's been too heavy today. A lot of places outside are flooded. Even though the drainage system here has always been good, if this keeps up, it won't hold. Peter has already sent people to deal with it.
"Jo's never seen people stacking sandbags, or rain this heavy, so she ran out to join the excitement."
Hearing that, Celeste glanced out the window and finally realized that the outside had turned into a vast stretch of water.
Truth be told, it was also her first time seeing Baumond hit by such a severe flood.
Her brows knitted with worry, and she couldn't help saying, "Where is Jo now? The rain's pouring, yet you just let her stay out—"
Before she could finish, Jordyn burst in, drenched head to toe in a little raincoat. "Mom, you're awake!"
Seeing she was safe, Celeste let out a breath of relief.
But when she noticed that, despite the raincoat, her daughter's hair and clothes were nearly soaked through, the worry came right back.
Jordyn was clearly thrilled, though. She wanted to fling herself into Celeste's arms, but just before she reached her, she remembered how wet she was and skidded to a stop.
Celeste couldn't bring herself to scold Jordyn when she saw her daughter's happiness. She was just about to tell her to go upstairs and change when Trevor set down his book, stood, and scooped Jordyn up.
"Let's get you changed first."
"Okay." Jordyn nodded, then suddenly wriggled, wanting to get down. "I want Mom to help me change."
Trevor raised a brow, glanced at Celeste, and asked, "Are you sure? Didn't you see that Mom's angry right now?"
Jordyn blinked. She really hadn't noticed.
Sneaking a look at Celeste, she didn't actually feel like her mother was angry, so she asked, "Mom, are you really mad?"
About ten minutes later, Trevor came back downstairs with Jordyn. By then, the little girl had changed into dry clothes and her hair had been blow-dried.
She happily ran over and snuggled into Celeste's lap, chattering away, while Trevor simply returned to his seat and picked up his book again.
Another 20 minutes later, Martha awoke.
Baumond wasn't a particularly rainy city, and she hadn't seen a downpour like this in years, so it startled her too.
With nothing else to do, she pulled Celeste along to show off some antiques she'd recently acquired. She even gifted her a valuable jewelry set and a fine paintbrush.
They chatted away, and Trevor didn't interrupt.
Outside, the streets were half a meter deep in water. That night, Celeste stayed over at the Fleming Manor.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
My fav novel post us more chap per day...
why is there not 5 episodes updated daily like the others on this website...
I read this novel recently. I just feel, it is exhausting being in Celeste shoes. Not getting a clear break, on the other side - Trevor is comfortably two timing and dragging. He is not really worth and should face the consequences. On the other hand, i also feel that probably he is putting on a mask to push Celeste to achieve her dreams and eventually became a hero. However, his attitude and physical relationship with Wynn - is not justifying my this theory. Let's just wait and watch, i hope it is not too much of a drag...
Depressing if Trevor give up Celeste and propose to his mistress! Poor Jordyn. Thank goodness,I am busy with patients' issues. I can stop here....
Will it make difference to Trevor if he knows how his mistress family malign the mother of his daughter even if he and Celeste are divorcing for his mistress?...
Please update atleast 3 chapters a day......
Is it only me? can't read the complete chapters. The read more does not connect...
