"We'll take the company's car, and you can take your own car when we come back later," said Corinne.
Jason raised an eyebrow. "Why? Wouldn't it be more convenient for us to take my car?"
"But it's more appropriate for us to take the company car since we're going on a business field trip. This way, there won't be any misunderstanding."
Jason frowned helplessly. "Don't you think you're being a bit too cautious, Corinne?"
Corinne did not explain herself further. She immediately got into the company minivan that the driver had brought around.
Jason shrugged and got into the car with her.

Sophia woke up early in the morning to make breakfast for Jeremy. She was hoping he would become less angry at her for what happened yesterday if she ramped up her performance. She cooked some bacon, eggs, and some toast.
Jeremy brought Benjamin over to the dining table, and they ate silently.
Sophia peeled a hard-boiled egg and passed it to Jeremy. "Here, have an egg, Zachary. How about we take Benjamin for a little stroll after breakfast? Dad should be wrapping up his work soon, so we'll probably be heading back to Molomia in a couple of days."
Jeremy's gaze stilled for a second before taking the hard-boiled egg from her. "Sure."
Sophia looked at him cautiously and with an ingratiating smile. "What's the matter, Zachary? Don't you want to go back to Molomia?"
"Whatever. Don't ask me any more questions if you're just going to shut me down. You just do whatever you like!"
Sophia was speechless. She wanted to say something to defend herself but was unable to come up with the words. It was not like she could seriously consider letting Jeremy stay here. All her efforts would end up in vain!
After thinking about it, Sophia continued to finish her breakfast silently.
After breakfast, Jeremy took Benjamin to change his clothes before they headed out. Sophia, too, got ready by putting on her makeup. She then wheeled Jeremy out of the suite with Benjamin toddling beside them.
They just happened to bump into Adam, who was coming out of his own suite, when they walked past his suite.
"Good morning, Dad," greeted Sophia, even though they did not end their conversation on a good note yesterday.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
