Wallace raised his own hand, and a few others followed suit. But it was a sparse showing—only two or three people. The majority were still hesitating.

The cameras were focused on the assembly, and the projector cast a glow on the table in the dim conference room, illuminating the varied expressions on everyone's faces.

"What's this? Are there objections? If you have something to say, feel free to speak up."

The white-haired shareholder spoke again. "Shouldn't we wait for Mr. Clifford Lambert? He is a shareholder, after all."

Wallace shot him a look. "The meeting is already this far along and he's still a no-show. Do you really think he's coming? Are you all refusing to vote simply because he isn't here? You are shareholders, not someone's subordinates! Do you need another's permission to express your own opinions?"

Wallace's forceful voice thundered through the conference room, laced with anger. He was genuinely furious. He couldn't believe so many people were siding with Clifford, showing him, the chairman, such disrespect. It only confirmed that his decision was the right one, especially after what Renata had done. He no longer had any trust in those two siblings.
