Adam tossed the blanket aside and got out of bed. On the other end of the line, Curly’s cheerful voice rang out. “Adam, are you up yet?!
Distracted, Adam replied with a nonchalant hum
Adamu watched as Celine bolted for the bathroom, her steps frantic and clumsy in her haste to escape
He had been awake the moment she stirred, but he didn’t open his eyes. When her delicate fingers tentatively traced his jawline, he felt it all. He knew she was scared to touch him. but couldn’t resist.
“Adam! Adam, are you even listening to me? Carly’s voice snapped him back to the conversation.
“What is it?” Adam asked, his tone now focused
“I’ve invited a few friends over today. Come join us,” Carly invited him to Tate Manor
Adam declined. “Thave a management meeting today I need to be at the office”
Antetending the call, Adam glanced down at his pants, a faint shadow of frustration crossing his chiseled features.
Adam stepped into the adjacent bathroom and took a cold shower to calm himself
When he came out, Leo had already arrived. “Mr. Aharez.”
Adam had regained his usual composure and aloot demeanor. He parted his lips and instructed, “Have someone investigate Larry:”
Leo asked, “Mr. Alvarez, do you mean Mrs. Alvarez’s adoptive father?”
Adam nodded. “Larry served a ten–year sentence. Find out the details of the case–1 want to know why he was imprisoned.“

When will Hailey show that she is Adam's cousin and be ruthless? Joanne needs to be put in her place and realize Jonah does not want her. Ewan is just as bad as she is. Hailey needs to get help from Celine or Adam if she doesn't want Jonah to find out what's happening....
If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
How does anyone in their senses meet up with someone who almost hurt them and their unborn child. This author is dumb and needs to wrap this crap up. All of a sudden Hailey and kala are playing Celine and Carly's role as another character. Nonsense....
