Hailey didn't cooperate at all. When she saw Aileen and Jeremy crossing the street, she shoved Jonah away and sat down.
Just then, the car door opened with a soft click. Both Aileen and Jeremy got into the car.
Aileen handed Hailey a bottle of water. "Here, Hailey, have some water."
Hailey reached out and took it. "Thanks."
Aileen looked at her curiously. "Hailey, why is your face so red?"
Hailey quickly covered her face, feeling it burn with heat. She tried to cover it up and said, "It's probably just the heat."
Sensing the subtle tension, Jeremy glanced at Jonah through the rearview mirror.
When he saw Jonah had already put his mask back on, he asked, "Mr. Pilsner, did I come back too early?"
Jonah slid the window down, letting the cool air blow in to cool his heated skin. He gave Jeremy a sharp look and replied, "What do you think?"
Jeremy felt a pang of regret because he knew he had come back too soon.
…
Half an hour later, the luxury car stopped at the gate of the Lambert residence. Hailey and Aileen got out of the car.
Hailey said to Jonah, "Thanks for the ride, Mr. Pilsner. I'll be fine from here."
Aileen waved at Jonah. "Bye, Jonah!"
Jonah looked at her and asked, "Aileen, do you want to move in with me?"
She rejected his offer outright. "No, I want to stay with Hailey. I sleep with her all the time, you know?"
Jonah frowned. "You guys sleep in the same bed?"
Aileen nodded. "Yeah."
Back when Pamela was still alive, Hailey used to share a bed with Aileen in that house. Those days were long gone now, but the memory lived on as something tender and cherished in their hearts.
Jonah said, "Aileen, you're growing up, so you shouldn't be sleeping in the same bed with Hailey anymore."
"Why not?" Aileen asked, puzzled.
She then opened the app and saw that it was from Jonah.
Jonah texted, "Come downstairs."
His order was direct and commanding.
Hailey's heart skipped a beat. She rushed to the window and looked out.
His car was still parked outside the villa—he hadn't left.
It was already late, yet he hadn't gone back to his office. He was still there, parked just beneath her window.
Hailey bit her lower lip, hesitated for a moment, then typed a message with forced calm.
"Mr. Pilsner, is there something you need?"
Her phone chimed again.
He replied, "Stop pretending."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam)
if there is already a surveillance video as evidence for the poisoning of Hailey, why go all the trouble of pretending? Celine is also pregnant right? What is happening to them, and what about Adam's headaches ......
Why is this writer like this! Seems it’s going to be a never ending story!!! Rebecca or Melody, why is she here again!!! Don’t these female characters move on!!! Goshhhhh...
A man with a team of invisible bodyguards that only appear on orders and disappear in time of troubles. Hmm😆🤏...
When will Hailey show that she is Adam's cousin and be ruthless? Joanne needs to be put in her place and realize Jonah does not want her. Ewan is just as bad as she is. Hailey needs to get help from Celine or Adam if she doesn't want Jonah to find out what's happening....
If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
How does anyone in their senses meet up with someone who almost hurt them and their unborn child. This author is dumb and needs to wrap this crap up. All of a sudden Hailey and kala are playing Celine and Carly's role as another character. Nonsense....
Is this still story for Celine and Adam?...
And yet again, they get away with evil!!!...
That’s gruesome to have 2 months pregnancy forcibly terminated by other characters . What kind of hospital doctors is that ?...
