Jonah nodded. "Alright."
He took Hailey to Arlo's residence, but the front door was locked. There was no one home.
Hailey knocked on the gate. "Hello? Is anyone home?"
A neighbor stepped out from next door. "Are you two looking for Arlo?"
Hailey nodded. "Yes, we are. Do you know where he went?"
The neighbor replied, "He's already moved. He left Barombya."
"What?" Hailey panicked and asked, "Do you know where he moved to?"
"I heard he made a lot of money and said he's not coming back."
Made a lot of money?
"You're here to buy the snow lotus, right? It's already been sold. Someone offered a huge sum to buy it, and Arlo took the windfall and moved away."
Hailey felt her heart sink. The snow lotus had already been sold—they were too late.
They had thought their timing was perfect, that they'd arrived just as the rare flower bloomed. However, someone else beat them to it.
How could there be such a coincidence?
Hailey grew suspicious. Who exactly had bought the snow lotus?
Jonah asked the neighbor, "Do you know if there are any other snow lotuses for sale nearby?"
The neighbor shook his head. "They're incredibly rare and only bloom once every 50 years. None of the mountains around here have them. Arlo was just lucky to find that one."
In other words, there were no more.
The snow lotus only bloomed once every 50 years. If they missed this one, who knew how long they'd have to wait for another?
Hailey sat alone, feeling her heart sink. She really wanted Jonah to be able to heal his face.
He used to be so handsome. Now, he had to wear a mask for the rest of his life.
Though he never said it aloud, Hailey knew he minded—he just didn't show it.
Who exactly bought that snow lotus?
Just then, her phone rang. The screen lit up with an unfamiliar number.
Hailey answered, "Hello, who's this?"
A soft, slightly smug voice responded, "Ms. Hailey, it's been a while."
Hailey immediately recognized the voice—it was Joanne.
They hadn't had much contact, but a woman's intuition was often uncanny. Hailey knew it was her.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam)
if there is already a surveillance video as evidence for the poisoning of Hailey, why go all the trouble of pretending? Celine is also pregnant right? What is happening to them, and what about Adam's headaches ......
Why is this writer like this! Seems it’s going to be a never ending story!!! Rebecca or Melody, why is she here again!!! Don’t these female characters move on!!! Goshhhhh...
A man with a team of invisible bodyguards that only appear on orders and disappear in time of troubles. Hmm😆🤏...
When will Hailey show that she is Adam's cousin and be ruthless? Joanne needs to be put in her place and realize Jonah does not want her. Ewan is just as bad as she is. Hailey needs to get help from Celine or Adam if she doesn't want Jonah to find out what's happening....
If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
How does anyone in their senses meet up with someone who almost hurt them and their unborn child. This author is dumb and needs to wrap this crap up. All of a sudden Hailey and kala are playing Celine and Carly's role as another character. Nonsense....
Is this still story for Celine and Adam?...
And yet again, they get away with evil!!!...
That’s gruesome to have 2 months pregnancy forcibly terminated by other characters . What kind of hospital doctors is that ?...
