This past month had felt like a fog for Hailey—her mind completely consumed by thoughts of Jonah. She hadn't even noticed her missed period.
Her cycle was always regular. This time, it was late by an entire month.
She thought back to the times she and Jonah had been together—there had been no protection.
Jonah wanted to get married and have kids. She loved children, too. They had both decided just to let things happen naturally. Could she be pregnant?
Hailey didn't dare tell her mom. She didn't want to worry her parents.
"Mom, I haven't had much of an appetite lately. Maybe I've just been too tired. I don't feel like eating anything heavy," Hailey said.
Miranda gently patted her daughter's back. "Then, I'll go make you a fruit bowl. That should be easier on your stomach."
Hailey nodded. "Thanks, Mom."
As soon as Miranda went to the kitchen, Hailey stood up and left the house. She headed to a nearby small pharmacy.
The lady at the counter looked at her. "Sweetheart, what are you looking for?"
Hailey replied, "Ma'am, I'd like a pregnancy test."
The shopkeeper handed it to her. "Ten dollars."
"Thanks."
Hailey paid, took the test home, locked herself in her room, and took it.
The result came back quickly. There were two red lines.
She was pregnant. She was carrying Jonah's baby!
This baby had come into the world under the unspoken hopes and dreams of both of them. It should have been something joyful, but she and Jonah were already over.
Hailey placed a hand on her lower belly. This would be her first time becoming a mom. She still couldn't fully grasp that a new life was already growing inside her.
There was no hesitation or second-guessing—she was keeping the baby.
"Bella went out with her grandma tonight. Since I'm pregnant with twins, her grandma doesn't want me chasing after her."
Hailey reached over and touched Celine's belly. "Celine, I've got news. I'm pregnant, too!"
Celine's face lit up. "You're pregnant? Does Mr. Pilsner know?"
Hailey shook her head. "He doesn't. And there's no need for him to know. Celine, we broke up."
"That day when I operated on Mr. Pilsner, I could tell he wasn't in a good mood. I figured you two were in another one of your back-and-forths," Celine said knowingly.
Hailey grabbed her hand. "Celine, how's his face healing?"
"You haven't seen him yet?" Celine asked.
Hailey shook her head. "No."
Celine smiled mysteriously. "You'll know when you see him."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam)
if there is already a surveillance video as evidence for the poisoning of Hailey, why go all the trouble of pretending? Celine is also pregnant right? What is happening to them, and what about Adam's headaches ......
Why is this writer like this! Seems it’s going to be a never ending story!!! Rebecca or Melody, why is she here again!!! Don’t these female characters move on!!! Goshhhhh...
A man with a team of invisible bodyguards that only appear on orders and disappear in time of troubles. Hmm😆🤏...
When will Hailey show that she is Adam's cousin and be ruthless? Joanne needs to be put in her place and realize Jonah does not want her. Ewan is just as bad as she is. Hailey needs to get help from Celine or Adam if she doesn't want Jonah to find out what's happening....
If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
How does anyone in their senses meet up with someone who almost hurt them and their unborn child. This author is dumb and needs to wrap this crap up. All of a sudden Hailey and kala are playing Celine and Carly's role as another character. Nonsense....
Is this still story for Celine and Adam?...
And yet again, they get away with evil!!!...
That’s gruesome to have 2 months pregnancy forcibly terminated by other characters . What kind of hospital doctors is that ?...
