The Doormat Wife’s Ultimate Glow-Up novel Chapter 280

After the meeting broke up, Zach called his assistant over. “Dig up every shred of dirt on the Ramos family from the past few years. Also, have someone tail Tara. I want to know everywhere she goes and everyone she talks to. Don’t leave anything out. Report it all to me.”

Sebastian scoffed. “She’s got more tricks than I thought.” He felt a wave of irritation he couldn’t quite name. He’d expected Reese to come begging once her funding dried up. Instead, she’d flipped the whole situation and found new backers.

But so what?

“Stick to the plan. Tell the bank to suspend Ramos Corporation’s credit line. Push the suppliers for payment.”

Brady looked uneasy. “But sir, the financial regulators just started investigating ‘big companies interfering with small business financing.’ If we move now—”
