"He was with Aurora?" Haynes asked. He had once helped Aurora out of a minor jam, and she had been cordial to him since.

He knew that a closer relationship with her could benefit both him and The O'Brien Group, but their opposing stances regarding Stella made it impossible. He was well aware that Aurora's entry into The Williams Group meant she and Stella were destined to be rivals.

About twenty minutes later, Aicken called to say he had arrived.

"I need to go sign something at the entrance," Stella told Haynes and Foreman. "You two stay here with Keen."

"I'll go with you," Joshua offered.

He led Keen into the haunted house, while Haynes waited outside. Suddenly, the sound of a gunshot echoed through the park.

"Bang!"

Haynes's face turned grim in an instant, his head snapping toward the haunted house. Screams erupted from inside, and people began pouring out, running in every direction.

Without a second thought, Haynes charged toward the entrance to find Foreman and Keen. Just as he reached it, Foreman stumbled out, covered in blood.

"Haynes, it's bad!" he gasped, his face pale and frantic. "The Gibson family… they've kidnapped Keen!"
