The first to rise was Jeffrey Carver, the Creative Director, better known simply as Jeff. He was tall, with a stylish look that

spoke of his years in the fashion world.

“Mrs Wyndham,” Jeff said warmly with his smooth voice. “It is an honor to finally meet you. I am Jeffrey Carver, but everyone calls me Jeff. I am in charge of all creative directions–from the designs we launch to the way the world sees Wyndham fashion. I promise to work closely with you and to make sure your vision comes to life on every runway and campaign” He gave a small bow of respect before sitting down.

Isla acknowledged him with a nod and a gentle smile. And one by one, the others followed.

Isla also gave her speech too. Promising to work with them, not as the CEO’s wife. But as a friend and co–worker.

And once introductions were complete, a tour of the building followed. Together, Gabriel and Isla were escorted through every department. Staff lined the hallways, eager for a glimpse of the couple.

“Wow, the CEO’s wife is so beautiful. Why was he still seeing Miss Delphine when he had such a beautiful woman?” one

female staff whispered.

“I heard she snatched the CEO from her best friend. The one he really loves is Delphine. Everyone knows that,” another

murmured

The words rolled into Isla’s ears. She kept her expression calm, pretending not to hear, but inside she felt the sting of that rumour. This was not unexpected. She had already prepared herself for gossip and judgment. She knew it would take time for people to understand the truth.

By the end of the tour, Isla was shown to her own office. The room was grand and spacious. It has a mix of modern elegance and Wyndham prestige. Gabriel had already left to attend other matters, leaving her to settle in.

Just then, a young woman stepped forward. She was beautiful, with striking features and a confident smile.

“My name is Sofie Delgado,” she introduced herself. “I am your PA.”

isla studied her for a moment. She liked her at once. Sofie was lively and efficient, but Isla also remembered her voice–Sofie had been one of the women gossiping earlier.

Still, isla smiled. She knew it would take patience for everyone to truly understand her place. Time had a way of revealing the

truth

“It’s good to meet you, Sofie. I can see that you and I will get along well,” Isla said softly, her lips curving into a polite smile.

“Yes, ma’am I will do my best to support you in every way I can. You can count on me,” Sofie replied quickly, ready for the day’s work

Sofie was specifically picked by Gabriel to work with Isla. She is smart and hardworking.

“Of course, I know that,” Isla answered smoothly. Then, with a hint of playfulness, she added, “After all, you seemed to know so much about my relationship with my husband”

Sofie stilled. Her eyes widened, her lips parted, but no words came out. She stood speechless, as she was caught off guard

When Isle noticed the fear in Sofie’s eyes, she gave a small laugh and spoke gently. “I heard you earlier. But don’t worry, I am not angry. After all, it was only a rumour”

To sorry, Mis Wyndham Please forgive my ignorance. I promise I will behave better toward you” Sofie’s voice shook as she apologized

“It’s nothing, really, Isla said, stepping closer to her. “But from today onward,” her tone was serious now “I expect your full support and assistance No more gossip No more lies” Then, she ended with a calm smile.

Suddenly, noise rose from the entrance of Isla’s office. Before Sofie could even take a step forward, the door swung open and Delphine walked in.

She carried herself with grace and confidence, a document held tightly in her hand. Without hesitation, she moved closer

until she stood night in front of Isla Lifting the paper, she held it out with ease.

“Your signature is required on this document. Gabby already instructed you,” Delphine said, finishing with a sly smirk, as if danng Isla to refuse.
