6 A Storm Beneath the Spotlight
“That’s not impossible. I’ll have to check with the director.”
The host smiled and looked toward Victor, who nodded right away in approval.
Of course he agreed-and he was delighted to see things unfold this way.
The more unpredictable the outcome, the more it kept viewers hooked.
Victor loved moments like this. Going off script always brought the best buzz.
“The director says it’s fine. Ms. Jordan, you’ll be a solo team. If you run into any problems, just let our crew know anytime.”
The host was clearly pleased with Sabrina’s choice.
Gianna stood off to the side, watching Sabrina, a flicker of surprise and confusion flashing in her eyes.
She had expected Sabrina to go along with her plan-to join one of their teams and kick off some jealous drama.
But Sabrina completely broke her expectations.
The rest of the group didn’t know her well.
Vincent had seen her before at high-society banquets and knew she was the pampered eldest daughter of the Jordan family.
They’d never actually spoken, so they weren’t familiar.
Miguel, however, knew exactly who she was.
She worked in pharmaceutical research, a field connected to Nygard Group’s core business.
He also knew she was exceptionally talented—so young and already part of the Institute of Medicine. Not someone to underestimate.
He was aware of her, though they’d barely interacted.
The fact that the production team managed to bring in such a big name impressed him. They really had connections.
Miguel glanced at Amelia, again.

Why are other people’s sisters so talented? he wondered.
If only his own sister were as brilliant-and obedient to the family’s wishes.
That thought made his mood sink again.
They used to get along so well. She used to be so outstanding.
How did things end up like this?
Selena kept sneaking glances at Sabrina too. Something about her presence reminded her of her own boss.
They both had that calm, powerful, queenlike aura.
It felt oddly familiar.
Amelia, who had been silent all this time, noticed Sabrina as well.
She didn’t know her personally but had heard of her.
At Base 01-the top research institute-Amelia knew there was someone named Sabrina.
Sabrina was gifted, a solid researcher.
But in Base 01, where the best of the best gathered, she wasn’t exactly top-tier.
Amelia usually worked directly with the elite, so she didn’t know her well.
Still, she noticed something small.
When Jeremy saw Sabrina, his brows had furrowed slightly.

And before Jordan spoke with the production crew, she had glanced at Jeremy too.
Tiny, easily missed details-but Amelia caught them.
Could these two already know each other?
Once everything was settled, the host asked Sabrina to hand over her personal phone and gave her the show’s assigned one instead.
She agreed without complaint.
Meanwhile, the comment section was boiling over.
[Who’s this Sabrina? Never seen her before.]

[Look at that fake girl again, trying to stir things up with Amelia’s team and then acting like she can invite people over. So shameless.]
[If her last name’s Jordan, she’s gotta be someone special. Otherwise, she wouldn’t show up as a mystery guest.]
[Does anyone else get a weird feeling from her? Something’s off.]
[Maybe she’s a top researcher. She’s pretty, though.]
The chat filled up with comments full of curiosity and speculation about Sabrina.
Within minutes, “Who exactly is Sabrina Jordan?” shot up the trending searches.
Everyone was typing it.
And when they found out, the results shocked them.
Turns out she really was someone important.
Sabrina wasn’t just the adored eldest daughter of the Jordan family-she was also a highly skilled researcher.
She specialized in pharmaceuticals and even had expertise in artificial intelligence, one of the hottest fields today.
[So she’s a real prodigy. Beautiful and brilliant.]
[The Jordans are just as powerful as the Nygards. Let’s see what those Nygard siblings have to brag about now.]
[Sabrina gives off the same vibe as our Amelia-rich, classy, capable. I hope they become friends.]
The search results only showed surface-level information-basic and hard to verify-but even that was enough to stir up major attention.
