The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia) novel Chapter 318

Chapter 318 A Team That Shocks Everyone

Watching from off-screen, Marcelo couldn’t help laughing-his foolish little brother was just

too much.

“Marcelo, what are you laughing at? Miguel and Gianna are stuck living in that rundown place. You still think it’s funny?”

Maxwell, sitting beside him, felt sorry for their siblings.

But Marcelo just kept laughing.

“What do you expect? If you feel that bad, why didn’t you volunteer to replace Miguel and take her on the show yourself?”

“I … ”

“Feeling bad now? Did you forget how Gianna set you up before?”

Then he added with a smirk, “Be honest, aren’t you relieved you didn’t have to take her this time?”

“I-” Maxwell struggled to find words. “That wasn’t her fault. Gianna didn’t mean it.”

Sure, plenty of accidents had happened the last few times he took her along.

But he stubbornly believed she’d changed for the better.

“Ha.” Marcelo let out a cold laugh.

Maxwell must’ve lost his mind. Marcelo tried to warn him, but the fool still refused to listen.

Fine. Let him crash into reality himself-life would knock some sense into him sooner or later.

Meanwhile, on set, everyone had settled into their lodgings.

Next came a new segment.

After tidying up, they headed to the herbal cultivation base.

The place was enormous, filled with rows of lush herbs.

As they walked closer, a rich, refreshing scent of herbs drifted through the air.

“Feels like breathing this in could make you live longer,” Selena said with a smile.

Hearing that, Gianna rolled her eyes.

What would an outsider like her know? She only knew how to sing.

Gianna had always hated her. If it weren’t for Selena and Amelia, her lip-sync scandal would never have been exposed.

She quietly moved to the side and whispered into her carpiece to Regina,

“We can start now.”

Yes, it was cheating, but she didn’t think anything was wrong with it.

Being able to cheat without leaving a trace was a skill, wasn’t it?

On the other end, Regina understood immediately.

“Relax. Ready whenever.”

Hearing that, Gianna’s confidence soared. She strutted to the front like a proud peacock.

Facing the camera, she volunteered eagerly.

“Host, I know this place well. I’d love to share a few tips about cultivating and improving herbs.

“I can teach both the guests and the audience some basic knowledge about this.”

Then she turned to Amelia with a sweet smile. “You don’t mind, do you?”

Amelia paused for a moment, then gave her a bright smile. “Why would I mind? Go ahead- show us your skills.”

If someone wanted to show off, she wasn’t going to stop them.

Gianna’s heart tightened at her words. Something about them felt off.

But she quickly steadied herself.

With Regina backing her, she had nothing to fear from Amelia.

“Perfect,” the host said. “Gianna, go ahead and explain. If you do well, you’ll earn five bonus gold

coins.”

The more coins they earned, the better their privileges on the show.

“Got it.” Gianna smiled confidently at the camera and began.

“I want to start with the basics. For growing herbs, the first step is the soil. We need to make sure it’s fertile, with good drainage and airflow.

“For different herbs, the soil preferences vary. Some like acidic soil, others prefer alkaline or neutral.

“Next is seed selection. Good seeds are the foundation of healthy herbs. We should choose certified seeds with fewer pests and diseases and shorter growth cycles.”

Her explanation sounded convincing, even to Vincent, who had always thought she was an airhead.

She’d failed so many times before that he’d written her off completely.

But now she actually seemed to know what she was talking about.

Maybe this really was her field-she had studied it, after all.

“That was great, Gianna.” Miguel said proudly. “Even I didn’t get all of it-you’re a natural.”

Jeremy stood off to the side, clearly unimpressed.

“This is all textbook theory. It’s not practical, and I don’t see any real talent here.”

He said it plainly, without hesitation. Jeremy had never been afraid of anyone.

If he wanted to call something out, he would-right in front of the entire nation.
