Chapter 182 Bloodlines and Bloodshed
Before Mr. Jordon could even finish his sentence, Nolan’s pitch–black pistol was already aimed directly at
his heart.
His words cut off mid–sentence.
At that exact moment, a team of bodyguards in black stormed into the conference room.
The rest of the shareholders jumped to their feet in alarm.
“Nolan! What do you think you’re doing?!”
“Sir, please calm down. We were only making a suggestion–we never officially said Mr. Tyson should take your place!”
“Exactly, exactly. Everything can be discussed! We’re reasonable!”
“There’s nothing to discuss. I’ve understood you all quite clearly.”
Nolan pressed the barrel harder into Mr. Jordon’s chest.
Mr. Jordon was frozen in place, cold sweat running down his face.
“You’ve all heard what kind of person I am. I don’t keep useless people around. And I especially don’t keep people with divided loyalties.”
“M–Misunderstanding… Mr. Nolan, this is just a big misund—”
Before he could finish, Nolan pulled the trigger in front of everyone.
The crisp sound of the gunshot rang through the room.
The bullet tore cleanly through Mr. Jordon’s chest.
Everyone’s expressions changed instantly.
Nolan lowered his gun, face blank as he said, “Did you all forget what kind of person I am? Let me remind you–just so you don’t forget again.”
“Nolan! Aren’t you afraid of going to prison?!”
“Hayes Corp has always had ties to the underground. If I couldn’t even kill someone, I’d be a disgrace.”
At Nolan’s signal, someone immediately came in and removed Mr. Jordon’s body.
The others looked at each other, silent and terrified.
Nolan placed his gun on the table. “Anyone else want a new leader? You can step forward.”

Chapter 182 Bloodlines and Bloodshed
With things having escalated to this point, who would dare make a move?
The wrong glance could get them killed.
The room fell into a deadly silence.
Finished
“So… no one wants to step forward, then.”
Nolan tapped the table. His assistant quickly passed out contracts to the board members.
“Read the clauses carefully. Sign after you’ve understood them. And if anyone gets cozy with Tyson again, don’t blame me for what comes next.”
With that, Nolan stood up and left.
Only after he was gone did the board members shakily pick up the contracts in front of them.
Each clause was written with veiled but unmistakable threat:
Anyone who sided with Tyson would be forced to hand over their entire fortune–to Nolan personally.
“This is… this is practically extortion…”
“Shh! Keep your voice down! Do you have a death wish?”
“That Nolan–murder, threats, there’s nothing he won’t do. The only reason he’s gotten this far is because of his bloodline-”
“Bloodline? He’s just a bastard, nothing more.”

Outside the conference room-
Nolan’s phone lit up with a new message from Eliza.
The moment he saw her name, the coldness in his eyes softened.
“Sir,” his secretary reminded him, “I don’t think those people inside will obey easily.”
Nolan’s face hardened once more. His voice was icy. “If they don’t obey, deal with them.”
“Yes, sir.”
Back at Claire University-
Naomi was flaunting her status like a peacock, attracting quite a few students eager to get close.
After all, she was Ms. Cassandra of the Sue family–a valuable connection to have after graduation.
“This was a gift from my brother, Christian.”
