When Eliza asked, Vivian only shook her head. “I just wanted to make soup for Cramer, but I’m not familiar with the kitchen yet.”
“He treats you like that, and you still want to make soup for him?”
Eliza looked at her in surprise, but Vivian answered seriously, “My mom always said, to win a man’s heart, you have to win his stomach first. I just want Cramer to be well.”
Watching Vivian, Eliza pressed her lips together, suddenly reminded of her
past self.
In her previous life, she had given everything to Zayden, pouring her heart out, but someone who didn’t love you would never be grateful, no matter how much you gave.
Vivian still insisted on going to the kitchen to cook for Cramer.
Eliza could only watch as she went off to prepare.
Standing behind her, Nolan said, “She’s Wendy’s plant, an informant close to Cramer. Whatever she does, just watch. Don’t take it seriously.”
Eliza stayed silent. She knew Vivian might be pretending.
But the way someone looked at the person they loved was hard to fake.
As a woman, Eliza could clearly see Vivian’s feelings for Cramer.
That kind of affection wasn’t something you could fake.
“Maybe she really does love him?”
But Wendy was still using her.
Eliza shook her head. Right now, the most important thing was investigating the industry chain behind Wendigo Corp.
These entertainers had clearly undergone training before being transformed into who they were now. But what method could Wendy possibly have that allowed her to turn people into entirely new versions of themselves in just one month–even changing their personalities?
So she and Nolan quickly went to Cramer’s study.
Cramer had promised to help them deal with Wendy.

Over the years, he had undoubtedly been investigating her. He had to know what she had been up to.
Eliza and Nolan stepped into his study.
Inside, Cramer was straightening his desk. Even his assistant was wiping it down again.
Eliza knew Vivian had tidied it earlier, but Cramer didn’t trust her.
He had it rechecked, not even willing to use the desk she had touched.
Eliza said nothing. Cramer looked up with a faint smile. “Mr. Hayes, Ms. Rivers–you’re back so soon. I take it you’ve made progress.”
“Wendy now runs Wendigo Corp. You know about it?”
“I’ve heard. Didn’t she host an entertainment gala tonight? I didn’t attend.”
Cramer and Wendy were bitter enemies, and Wendy naturally hadn’t invited him.
“I investigated it,” Cramer said. “That entertainment company mostly recruits domestic artists, reshaping them before reintroducing them to the public. The main gimmick is contrast. But it’s still just an entertainment company. Even if it’s making money, what kind of waves can it really cause? Do you think Wendy is up to something in that company?”
To Cramer, as long as Wendy didn’t threaten his businesses, he didn’t care.
An entertainment company was hardly something he considered worth attention.
“These artists aren’t just repackaged–they’re completely different from before. It’s like they’ve been reborn. Even their faces change slightly. Don’t you think that’s strange, Mr. Cullinan?”
Eliza continued, “One girl group member used to belong to my friend’s company. She was known for her sweet looks and had some fame, but sweet–faced stars lose popularity as they age. Now, she’s been remade into a gothic, melancholy type–and she’s standing out. Not only does she look different, she looks much younger than before. Doesn’t that strike you as odd?”
“So that’s what this is about.”
Cramer leaned back in his chair, looking at Eliza. “This isn’t as shocking as you think. Saint Corp has been researching stem cell regeneration for years, and the cosmetic medicine industry is one of our main businesses. While Wendy was in office, she focused heavily on this type of project. She likely has access to technology that slows aging, and she works with the most authoritative cosmetic surgery groups abroad. None of this is unheard of.”
“But slowing aging isn’t the same as turning back time, is it?”

Eliza laid down two photos in front of him–the same actress before and after.
Side by side, they looked like two completely different people.
