Eliza said patiently, “Have you been showing up in front of Cramer every single day lately?”
“Yes,”
Vivian nodded. “I can tell he doesn’t really want to see me, but I just can’t control myself. I want to be around him all the time.”
“For the next few days, don’t let him see you at all.”
“Huh?”
Vivian blinked, not understanding what Eliza meant.
“If you keep appearing in front of him, you’ll only annoy him. Hold yourself back. No matter where you go, just make sure he doesn’t see you. And… I think you should change the way you dress.”
Vivian lowered her head, glancing at the pink lace dress she wore. “Isn’t this pretty? My godmother said women look most elegant in dresses like this.”
“You look lovely in it,” Eliza said, “but if you want to catch his eye, you need to break away from the image he’s used to. You’ve got the figure and the face–try clothes that fit your age better. They’ll look amazing on you.”
“But… I’ve never worn that kind of style before.”
“Your innocence should be like fresh snow–untouched. That’s what makes a man drop his guard. Wipe off all that makeup. You’ll still look beautiful even without it.”
Wendy had styled Vivian like a socialite, but Cramer had seen countless women like that in his circles. With Vivian being Wendy’s foster daughter, he trusted her even less.
Vivian hesitated, but in the end, she agreed to try Eliza’s advice.
After Vivian left, Nolan stepped out of his room. “I never knew my Eliza was so good at taming men. How come you never used these tricks on me?”

something different.”
Vivian was obedient and pure–hearted. If she began to trust Eliza, then Eliza could start driving a wedge between her and Wendy. Once Vivian learned to think for herself, she’d realize how her godmother was using her.

Chapter 557 A Change of Approach
That evening, a servant carried the soup Vivian had prepared into Cramer’s study.
Cramer barely glanced at it before telling them to set it aside.

His secretary urged, “Sir, you’ve been working too hard. Perhaps you should have some.
Normally too tense and distracted to eat, Cramer found himself tempted. The soup looked exquisite, fragrant, and rich–clearly not just another kitchen dish.
He had his secretary pour a bowl. One sip, and the fatigue lifted from his body.
“This tastes good. Who made it?”
“I’m not sure, sir. I can go find out.”
“No need. I was just asking.”
He dismissed it as a new dish the kitchen had come up with, nothing more.
The next morning, a servant rolled a breakfast cart into his room. The plates were filled with dishes he had never seen before.
He frowned. His chefs had never cooked like this.
As he dressed, he asked, “Who made all this?”
Two servants exchanged looks. One stepped forward quickly, eager for credit. “I did, sir. I thought I’d change up your breakfast.”
Cramer didn’t question it. The spread looked inviting, so he tried a bite. The texture was soft, the flavor fresh, unlike anything he’d had before.
“Not bad.”
“Thank you, Mr. Cullinan!”
The servant beamed with pride.
After finishing his meal, Cramer left for Saint Corp.
As he walked through the living room, he noticed something missing. Normally, Vivian would already be there at this hour, waiting with snacks in hopes he’d share breakfast with her.
Today, she was nowhere to be seen.
And to him, that absence felt unexpectedly… fitting.
