**TITLE: Arrived 250**
**250 Kevin’s Show**
“I’m not going,” Estella declared, her voice steady, yet the firmness in her tone was unmistakable.
Kevin, however, remained unfazed by her rejection, as if her words were nothing more than a gentle breeze that rustled his hair.
“Ah, so cold-hearted. You can’t still be looking down on me just because I lost that bet, can you? I’ve given it some thought. I won’t push you. Let’s just start as friends,” he suggested, his voice laced with a casual charm that he hoped would soften her resolve.
If Estella desired his sincerity, he was more than willing to oblige. For a woman he admired so deeply, compromising a few principles felt trivial.
Mindy, observing the confident swagger in Kevin’s demeanor, assumed he was merely another actor Estella had hired for her amusement.
“Estella, you even found someone to play the role of a wealthy admirer? You’ve really gone all out tonight. I almost admire your creativity. Fine, you win—I admit defeat,” she quipped, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
Kevin blinked, bewildered by her words.
“What the hell are you talking about? Me, some actor Estella hired? I’m Kevin, and I openly pursue the woman I like. You think she paid me to be here?” he retorted, disbelief etched across his features.
Mindy let out a derisive laugh.
She herself wasn’t unattractive, but her journey to marry into wealth had been paved with countless manipulations and strategic connections.
Estella’s family had long since faced financial ruin. There was no way she could attract so many affluent men.
Rich men weren’t naive. To them, young, beautiful girls without money were mere playthings—never to be taken seriously.
And this man, bold enough to declare he would change for Estella? Please. Real wealthy men had a legion of women vying for their attention. If one didn’t meet their expectations, they would simply move on to the next. No one wasted their time groveling to win over a woman.
“This gentleman’s performance is quite impressive,” Mindy remarked with a mocking smile. “I almost believe it myself. But since Estella wants to put on a show, we might as well play along. Estella, does this satisfy your vanity?”
A murmur of whispers rippled through the room, and many cast Estella looks filled with disdain and judgment.
Yet Estella remained unfazed. She had no intention of maintaining ties with these people. Their opinions were inconsequential to her.
But for Kevin? The mere thought of being labeled as poor ignited a fire within him.
It was absurd. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, extravagance flowed through his veins like blood.
Who dared question his wealth?
He let out a cold, humorless laugh. “This is the first time someone’s accused me of being broke. It’s a refreshing experience. Feel free to question my character, but don’t ever question my financial status.”
With that, he turned on his heel and strode into the restaurant, his presence commanding attention.
