“Sarah?” I said softly. “Why?”

She shrugged, like she was just another woman. A human woman. “I liked the sound of it. And some people would figure out who I am because of my name. So I decided to make it easier for myself to hide.

I kept wondering if you’re still alive, or if someone found you and discovered what you were. Thank goodness I heard you last night. I realised that you were ready to meet me, now that you knew what you are. You commanded the entire town. What exactly happened that you had to do that?”
