258: Am I that adorable?
The sun rose, casting a warm glow across the marble stones of the Citadel.
Every inch of the courtyard was polished and decorated. Flowers bloomed, swaying gently in the cool breeze.
The guests arrived, filling the court from every corner. Elites. Lord Alphas. And a few Ouroboros from the dragon Realm, all clad in fine attires.
Today, a Queen was about to be crowned.
Inside the walls of the royal chamber, everything was sparkling clean. Every nook and corner had been transformed.
Anything that reeked of the unwanted and past had been disposed of and burnt. Everything looked new, including the settings.
Rheal stood before the large mirror, his round eyes filled with excitement.
He was clad in a fine royal robe, designed with golden embroidery that matched his eyes.
Arianna had made sure his clothing was light. Underneath was a crisp white tunic with a small collar.
His dark, mixed silver hair was styled back, with a few strands falling over his forehead. His skin was smooth as porcelain, and his scent as soft as honey.
Arianna leaned over his shoulder. “You like it?”
“I love it.”
“Happy birthday, sweetie.”
Rheal chuckled. “You’ve said that a million times today, Mom.”
“I know. I’m just so excited my boy is growing. Urgh…” Arianna groaned with delight and gently spun her son around to cup his face. “I love you so much, you know that, right?”
He nodded. “I love you too. Happy coronation to you.”
“Hm. Thanks,
sunshine.”
“I’m worried though,” Rheal said, tilting his little head slightly.
Arianna’s smile faltered. “What? Why? Is someone or something troubling you?”
“It’s just… they keep staring at me,” he mumbled. “The maids. And the guards. I even heard one say I look like a little prince carved from the stars.”
Arianna blinked, trying not to laugh. “Well, they’re not wrong.”
“But it’s weird,” Rheal whispered. “One of them gasped when I smiled. Another dropped her tray. They’re always whispering when I pass. I think I heard one say she wants to hug me forever. Is that normal?”
Arianna pressed her lips together, expecting this but still wanting her son to feel comfortable here.
Nyra, who was in the room smiled amusingly as she listened to the conversation.
“I’ll handle it. Trust me,” Arianna said.
“Am I that adorable? Eshara says that all the time. But the stares here are way more than in the dragon realm.”
Before Arianna could respond, a knock sounded on the door. When she gave permission, the door creaked open, revealing the
visitors.

“Cal!” Rheal’s eyes widened as he rushed to hug his friend.
Cal chuckled as they pulled apart. “What’s up, little man? Holy heavens, you look amazing!” Then he turned to Arianna and bowed. “Your Majesty.”
Arianna nodded in return, just as she spotted Lylah walking in. She went to embrace her sister.
After congratulating her, Lylah crouched down to Rheal, pulled out a small book, and handed it over to him.
“Happy birthday, nephew. Once you come of age, you should read this. Someone gave it to me before I became a warrior.”
Arianna smiled at her words.
“And once you can read that, Rheal, you’ll officially become my student.‘
Rheal’s face beamed with excitement. He thanked Lylah and pressed a gentle kiss
on her cheek.
“You kept your promise. Thanks, Auntie.” Then he turned to his mother. “Can I take Cal to go see Father? I won’t wander far.”
Arianna hesitated, but Nyra quickly offered.
“I’ll go with them.”
She nodded once, and Nyra led them away.
“I see Rheal already has a great relationship with his father,” Lylah said.
“Those two?” Arianna smiled. “You can’t separate them. Rheal’s practically glued to his father. Wherever Duncan goes, he follows like his shadow.”
“That’s great to hear. By the way, I brought
congratulatory gift, one for Rheal too, but they’re with the other presents.”
“Thanks, sis,” Arianna said. “I also have something for you. A dress.”
Lylah’s smile faltered. “I can’t. It’s…”
“Itchy. I know. But this one won’t be.” Arianna clasped her hands excitedly. “I promise you’re going to love it. You ca later, but I just need you to try it on first before you decide.”
Lylah sighed. “Well… it’s your day. Who am I to say no?”
She also had another reason to agree, and just the thought of it made her heart flutter.
