Willow could process his words at the speed of zero. Her mind was spinning around only one thing. "My soulmate is cheating on me."
Rowan threw his hands up in exasperation. "I'm not cheating on you, Willow. What about you then?"
"What about me?" Willow was confused.
"You smelled like the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack yesterday."
Willow gasped.
"I'm not cheating on you!" Said Willow, why did she feel that the tables had turned?
"But you smelled like him, isn't that why the Werewolves attacked us? I've never touched Annie in an intimate way."
Willow didn't know why she just had an outburst on Rowan. She also had this weird feeling, as if she was possessive over Rowan. She was scared that she might lose him.
"I didn't do anything with Hunter." Said Willow.
Rowan raised his brow.
"Trust me. It was him, he attacked me, out of the blue. Look at my hands," Willow bared her gauzed wrists at Rowan. "He hurt me, they hurt a lot."
Once Willow was done, she regretted showing her hands. The only time one's wrists will be bruised is when they were in an intimate act, isn't it?
Just as she was about to explain that nothing else happened, Rowan grabbed her hands gently, his eyes hardening.
"Hey," Willow grinned nervously. "Matching bruises." Willow looked at Rowan's hand, though the redness on his hands had already started to pale, it was still there lightly.
"I'm going to kill him." Growled Rowan, his thumb which was running on her wrist was very soft.
"Rowan," Willow said pitifully. "I was just scared. I just found out that you were my soulmate, not even half an hour ago and then your fianceé popped out of nowhere. I don't want to lose you, right after finding you. I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. I trust you. Don't be mad okay?"
Willow heard Rowan sigh as he let her hands go, making her stiffen, making her wonder if he was mad. If he was then what was she to do? She was just about to go and google what to do when your vampire soulmate was angry with you, but before she could she felt arms snake around her.
Willow snapped her head up at Rowan, when her eyes met his, she felt his heart screech to a halt before picking up speed. Her lips broke into a huge smile.
"Who said that I'm mad at you?" Said Rowan, raising Willow's confidence.
The long dining table was half filled. Willow also found that Rowan's aunt Darcy who lives in Mexico had arrived earlier with her whole family and his uncle Gabriel had also arrived.
Willow felt like a clown. A very nervous clown at that, who was ready to throw up any moment. It's not everyday that a clown gets to dine with Royal family, not to forget the Royal family of the Vampires.
Willow couldn't bring herself to even chew her food, knowing that every single person beside her had blood served in a wine glass. Willow really hoped that they would all follow the trend and buy a metal flask, but no, they just had to drink it in a old fashioned way.
Willow had also previously heard a seven year old throwing a tantrum that he wanted to eat blood flavoured jello, which had Willow shuddering.
Thankfully, Willow had been served with red wine and not blood.
Rowan had previously explained to her about his family. He had six siblings in total, he was the fourth child. The ones before him were his half siblings, the eldest was Easton, who was ten years older to Rowan.
Easton had found his mate a year back, apparently it ran in his family. That was why Rowan was betrothed to Annie, if he couldn't find his mate before he ascended the throne, then they would have to get married. And so, everyone was shocked that Rowan found his mate even before he turned eighteen, which made everyone doubt whether Willow was actually Rowan's mate. But Rowan had assured Willow that they were mates.
The second was Dane, who was twenty-four. He was mate less so far and kept on glaring at Willow as if she killed his cat named Petunia. Which she didn't, she wasn't even sure if he had a cat named Petunia.
The third was Renee, who was nineteen, and mate less. Now Renee, unlike her older siblings was very fond of Rowan and didn't have any murderous thoughts on him.
