"Yeah yeah, of course." Said Willow as she entered her room behind Rowan.
Willow got under the comforter and stayed on one side lest she roll over. Rowan soon followed, but he pulled her closer to him and wrapped his arms around her and dropped a peck on her forehead.
"Story."
"I'll tell you the story of the Little Mermaid."
"That one has a tragic ending, I want a happy one."
Willow had been planning on telling the Disney version, which has a happy ending. "Don't worry, they do live away happily ever after."
Rowan turned to his side. "Okay."
"Once upon a time there lived a princess, a mermaid princess. The princess had just went through puberty and liked to believe that no one could understand her, especially her single father..."
Willow could hear loud banging coming on the door as she forced her eyes open. She furrowed her eyes at the door and put her hand out to grab her phone from the side table. Her eyes widened when she looked at her screen glaring back at her, showing that it was still five in the morning on top of that it was Saturday!
Willow turned over, making up her mind that it was better to ignore the banging and go back to sleep.
As Willow turned, she felt the warm arm wrapped around her pulling her closer to him. That is when she remebered how Rowan had volunteered to sleep with her, her cheeks heated up.
Willow shut her eyes as her heartbeat paced up. It did more so when the banging on the door got more intense.
Willow wondered what sort of evil person would disrupt her time with Rowan.
Knowing that it wouldn't stop, Willow slowly sat up, she pushed her comforter away. Willow gently pulled Rowan's arm off her only to be pulled back, making her yelp. Her frantic eyes meeting dazed golden eyes.
"Hey." Willow said nervously.
"Where are you going?"
Willow pointed at the door. "I have to save the door before it is broken down."
Rowan blinked at the door before turning to Willow. "That's Lark outside. We can just ignore him," Said Rowan. "Or throw him outside."
That little piece of shit. Willow took a deep breath watering her anger down. "I'd like to go with that, the second one."
"Okay then." Smiled Rowan, taking Willow's breath away. "Whatever you wish for."
Willow just nodded, unable to and unwilling to take away the image of Rowan with his perfect bed hair, smiling at her lazily.
Rowan, ignorant about what he just put on Willow got off the bed and here's towards the door. He pulled the door open. "What are you doing here?"
"Nice to see you too." Said Lark, his eyes then narrowing. "Wait, what are you doing here?"
"This is my mate's room."
"Are you sure she-"
"Yes."
"Don't mind him." Said Rowan.
Willow nodded as she looked at the object in her hand. Her eyes widened as she saw the blue crystal in her hand which was emitting a low glow. "This-" Willow's head snapped up to Rowan. "I can't accept this!"
"It's okay." Said Rowan. "Lark owns a lot of those, don't sweat over it."
"But-"
"It is his way of apologizing, he will probably throw a fit if you return it and hurt his pride."
"Still, this looks-"
"No, keep it." Said Rowan. He leaned down and kissed Willow on her forehead. "You should head back to sleep."
Willow, nodded. "Thank you for staying with me."
"I'm your mate, you don't have to thank me for something I'm supposed to be doing."
"I-" Willow felt her face boiling. " Bye." Willow pushed Rowan out of her bedroom and shut the door. She could hear Rowan chuckling from the other side.
Willow shut her eyes tight and steadied her breathing. She walked over to her bed, to continue her interrupted sleep.
Willow came to a stop when she walked past the full length mirror in her room. Her eyes widening when she saw at her reflection. Her hair had turned into fluffy cotton candy, her eyes were lined with dark circles, from lack of sleep making her eyes look puffy and swollen.
