The Night Wolf novel Chapter 69

Willow internally shrieked.

Maybe she should go to bed with her makeup on like they do in the movies? But she knew that it would look worse waking with makeup on her face.

With a heavy heart, Willow walked over to her bed, wanting nothing more than to bury herself.

Willow walked to the kitchen an hour later, unable to sleep. She found Felix and Lark in the living room, sitting in the couch and-was that Titanic playing on the TV?

"Good morning." Said Felix. Lark continued watching the TV, too engrossed in the movie to bother about anything else. Willow thought of giving him a heads up but went against it. She believed that he should go through what every other person does after watching Titanic.

"Morning." Willow greeted back. "Did you have your breakfast?"

"I haven't." Said Felix.

"Why are you lying?" Said Lark who shifted his attention from the TV. "Just because you can lie doesn't mean that you should."

"When did I lie?" Asked Felix. "And aren't you just jealous because I can lie?"

"I just saw you drink a pack of blood!" Said Lark.

Willow froze, she kept forgetting that they were Vampires, and vampires drink blood. Even though saying that her boyfriend was a Vampire sounded cool, it still scared her when she remembers what they feed on.

"He had his breakfast so you shouldn't make him a side witch," Larks voice snapped her back into reality. "Wait, you should make him a side witch, just give that one to me."

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, your Royal Highness but we are running out of jam, so you'll have to make do with grilled cheese."

"But I want a side witch!"

"Grilled cheese can also be called a side-sandwich. It's the cheesy sister of PBJ.".

"But I don't want the sister!"

"Then go get the jam yourself!"

"Why should I? I've never ran an errand in my entire life!"

"Oh? Then get yourself your maid to make sandwiches for you." Willow rolled her eyes and went to make grilled cheese.

"What?"

"She said that she won't make you anything." Explained Felix.

"So soon?"

"You can come with me, but I've noticed that you don't like it much at the palace. And it will be better for you here, safer." Willow was about to say that she didn't hate it at the palace, it was just that she was taken by surprise, one after the other, but she felt like Rowan really didn't want her to come with him. "Lark will be staying here, Felix will be coming back with me."

Willows eyes widened. She hoped that Felix would stay instead of Lark.

"Can't do." Rowan grinned as if reading her mind. He ruffled her hair. "I'll be back soon, you won't even notice I was gone."

Willow walked out of the girl's locker room and headed to the gym. She had forgotten to get her uniform, making her wear the extras from the locker room. Even though she got her periods the day before yesterday, right after Rowan left. It now made her wonder if he somehow got to know about it and that is why he ran away, he was after all, a Vampire.

Even though she had only spent a week with Rowan at school, but she seemed to have been so used to having him beside her that she now felt lonely without him beside her.

Willow thought that she wouldn't come across any trouble, but Hunter just had to return to school. Worst of all, he had been looking at Willow as if she owed him money, and as long as she remembered she had never borrowed any from Hunter. In fact it was Lark who borrowed money from her so called treasury yesterday, she should probably note it down in case she forgets about it.

But now that she thought about it, Willow did hit Hunter, the other day, what if he was looking at her like that because he wanted revenge?

Willow sighed as Coach Smith blew on her whistle to assemble everyone.

"Today we will be playing Basketball. You will be divided into two groups consisting of thirteen members each. Evans you are the captain of Team A and Cooper is the captain of the Team B." Coach Smith turned to Willow and threw keys at her. "Go get the ball, Greene."
