Hawk called Gunner. Thought you should know. There was a hit and run. Lana is in the hospital. Someone hit her and drove away from the scene. Find out who did this I said and find out now. Why do you care Gunner I said. You aren't here. We take care of our own. So don't worry. I will find out who did this and make them pay. One way or the other. So stay away and don't come here. I will take care of Lana. She no longer needs you.

Don't tell me to stay away from my woman. Your woman, hell Gunner you didn't come home and make her your woman now did you. Instead, you stayed away and let her grieve for you. So fuck you. We will take care of her. Then Gunner heard. Who is Lana's family? I am her fiance, Hawk. How is she? She will recover. She will be here for a few days. She had internal injuries, a broken wrist and her left leg is broken. Can we see her I asked? Sure but only for a few minutes.

Hawk so help me god. I am going to hurt you. She is not your fiance. Not yet I said. Got to go after all I have to make sure my woman has the support and love she needs, and I hung up the phone and followed the nurse to Lana's room. I was grinning as I walked into Lana's room. I knew that pissed Gunner off when I told the nurse I was her fiance. I gave him a week before he showed up at my clubhouse.

As I walked in the nurse said your fiance is here to see you. I saw the biggest smile on her face until she saw me. As the nurse left I explained I had to tell her I was your fiance or she would not let me in. That's alright she said in a sad voice. I said I know you wished I was Gunner and I'm sorry I'm not him. You will never know just how much I wish I was him. Don't worry though. When you leave you will come to the clubhouse and we will take care of you until you can go back to your house.

You don't have to I said. My brother will take care of me. No, you got hurt when you left my clubhouse I feel responsible for not walking you home. Ok if it makes you feel better. It would. After all, you helped me while I was overseas. I saw her grin at that. Several club members visit with her while she was in the hospital.

Three days later she was being released and I drove my truck to the hospital and brought her to the clubhouse. Everyone greeted her happy to see her out of the hospital. I carried her in and sat her in the wheelchair we bought for her. We went to the kitchen where Whisky prepared a welcome meal. We watched to make sure she ate well. I then gave her the pain pills the doctor prescribed and watched her take them.

I wheeled her to the bar where we sat and talked. About 15 minutes I noticed her eyes closing. I had my VP's wife Laura walk with me to the room she was going to use and left. Laura helped me to change my clothes into a tee shirt and shorts to sleep in. She then turned out the lights locking the door as she went out.

Pres what would you do if you were Gunner and someone told you that they had your woman and showed you pictures of her being beaten or used badly? Hawk grinned. I would do everything possible to get her back. What if we took pictures of Lana and made it look like she had been beaten and sent them to Gunner. But first, we start with pictures of her walking to work, or sitting outside our clubhouse stuff like that and send them to him telling him would be so easy to take her from the Phantom MC and Gunner?

I will get him to do it so we don't know and they look real enough to fool Gunner. Hawk and the other club members grinned. Let's make him so mad he comes home. Get on that Money.
