The Pack's Daughter (Aysel and Magnus) novel Chapter 219

**Midnight Letters by Daniel Crowe**

**Chapter 219**

**Third Person’s POV**

**Finished**

The following day, as the sun climbed higher in the sky, casting its golden rays through the den’s windows, Aysel stirred from the warmth of her bed. A sudden surge of determination coursed through her veins, igniting a sharp pang of resolve. She couldn’t let an entire weekend slip away in idle lounging; it was time to seize the day. With a vigorous shake, she dispelled the lethargy that clung to her like a sleepy wolf pup reluctant to leave its cozy lair.

Magnus, her companion, was equally enthusiastic about their plans. Together, they decided to explore the bustling markets and vibrant streets, their footsteps echoing softly on the cobblestones that formed the city’s heart. For Magnus, usually entrenched in the responsibilities of his pack, this adventure was a refreshing change. He reveled in the sights and sounds of the human marketplace, a world away from the usual dealings of an Alpha wolf, where power and dominance reigned supreme.

As they wandered through the stalls, Magnus found himself captivated by the vibrant colors and enticing aromas. He marveled at the array of goods on display—some crafted by skilled artisans, others gifted by influential wolves who had ventured far and wide. It felt novel to him, this exploration of a human marketplace, where he was free to select ingredients, touch fabrics, and engage in the simple pleasures of life, far removed from the weighty responsibilities of leadership.

Once, he would have scoffed at the idea of shopping, deeming it a frivolous waste of time. Yet today, even the act of idling felt exhilarating, a delightful escape from the burdens he typically bore.

Inside the marketplace, Aysel treated Magnus as if he were a living doll, her laughter ringing out as she pulled him from one stall to the next. They tried on various outfits, playfully twinning in casual ensembles that showcased their unique styles. Magnus, with his handsome, sculpted features and imposing stature, wore each piece with an effortless charisma; every glance in the mirror turned him into a spectacle, a sight to behold.

With a rare smile breaking through his usually serious demeanor, Magnus declared, “Buy it.” His voice held a playful challenge, one that Aysel found hard to resist.

Aysel hesitated for a moment, her gaze drifting to the growing pile of shopping bags resting on the store’s lounge chairs. Each bag represented a decision, a choice that weighed on her mind.

“It seems like a lot,” she murmured, glancing back at Magnus, who appeared unfazed.

“No matter,” he replied, waving a dismissive hand. “They can deliver them later.” The store manager, noticing their increasing haul, beamed with delight, already envisioning the potential for more sales when another couple entered—two young wolves, striking and vibrant in appearance.

“Aysel?” Damon Blackwood’s voice cut through the air, surprise flickering in his amber eyes as he halted mid-step. He scanned the couple’s outfits, a subtle tightening in his chest as he took in the sight of Aysel and Magnus together—perfectly matched, an image of harmony. The girl at his side tilted her head, curiosity piqued by his sudden pause, and then her eyes brightened as she recognized Aysel. “Shall we try that too?” she chimed, her enthusiasm evident.

Damon’s gaze flicked between the two, confusion etching his features. “Do them?” he echoed, his voice calm yet edged with tension.
