Chapter 293
Yorick
When Landon and Lila return from talking to Alpha Nevaeh, we’re all at dinner. They join us and while Lila is obviously shy about being in this new environment, it helps that both her Alphas and her mate are here as well.
“Alpha Nevaeh said Lila can stay at the Academy during the week as long as it doesn’t impact my studies,” Landon says excitedly.
“And she’s giving me a job here so I can stay on campus and make some money. I’ll be cleaning the dining room after breakfast and lunch. It will give me something to do, and I can help Landon pay for the Academy,” Lila says sweetly.
“The Academy is paid for already. Keep your money,” Landon says, kissing the side of her head.
“It’s our money now, though, right?” she asks. I haven’t spent a lot of time with Lila. Cyra and I haven’t been able to spend a lot of time with any of our new pack members, but it infuriates me that Stellan took advantage of a woman who is this sweet and kind. Her innocence would have made her an easy target, but as an Alpha and her mate, he should have felt the need to protect her, not exploit her.
Landon growls softly. “Then we’ll start saving for that pup you’re going to give me.”
She blushes a bright shade of pink and giggles. “Okay.”
When everyone is done eating, I ask Landon and Lila to stay behind to talk to Cyra and I about our Gamma position.,
“So, obviously with Lila and I being mates, I want us to be part of the same pack,” Landon begins.
“That’s a done deal. Neither Cyra, nor I, have any problem with you joining our pack,” I say and Lila sighs in relief. I didn’t realize she was worried that we
might say no.
“We can make it official whenever you’re ready, which I assume will be after you return from your visit to see your family this weekend,” Cyra says.
“Yes. Obviously, I want to show off my mate,” he says, pulling Lila into a side hug and kissing her temple. “But I need to let my Alpha know that I’m leaving his pack for hers. It’s the right thing to do.”
“I agree,” I say.
“Thank you. Now, you had something you wanted to discuss?” he says.
“Yes. As you know, Cyra and I are working to combine our two packs into one. We’ve demoted one Gamma, leaving us with two Betas and one Gamma. One of our Betas has spoken to my father about wanting to retire,” I say.
“Not Beta Eric?” Lila asks quickly.
“No, he’s much too young to retire. We’re going to meet with him this weekend to discuss him taking over as Beta for both sides while we combine the packs. But our remaining Gamma, Gamma Elliot is also older and probably thinking about retirement. I wanted to know if you’d be interested in taking over that position. It wouldn’t be until you’d finished the Academy, of course, but Cyra and I plan to speak with him this weekend about training his successor. We’d like that successor to be you, both of you,” I say, including Lila. “You could do what Cyra and I are doing. Attend the Academy during the week and then learn how to be a Gamma on the weekends until you graduate.”
He blinks at me, then looks at Lila, before looking back with a frown on his face.
“Have you spoken to Alpha Quirin?”
I narrow my eyes at him. “Yes. Why?”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Pack's Doctor
I'm so excited!!! Yorrick's story is finally being written (i had already lost hope on this) - thank you!!! It's really statisfying to read all those hints about who will be mated together. And it's nice that Yorric's story includes not only him, but also Wendy. I'm being kept on edge how Henry's story will roll out. *about gibberish parts: yeah, there are quite a few, but come on, it's not like we pay for the service to have the right to require good quality! I'm just happy i'm able to read what i like!...
157 is all gibberish as well. I can't undeestand anything about the famiky leaving, & what her mom is saying about the work sge needs to do in her relashionship.. the auther seriously needs to rewrite or edit all these errors....
The beginning of Chapter 156 is all gibberish.. wth??!!?? Why does this happen all the time 🫤...
Great story but im at chapter 137 & there's a lot of parts where the words are all scrambled leaving the reader to have to try and desipher what is being said. That kind of disrupts the flow .....
It's my favorite book of all the books about warewolves that I've read! I come back to reread it again and again, after finishing another not so enthralling story from another author. I will soon know this story by heart, but it's still way more pleasureable to read than all the rest :)...
