Chapter 7
Alpha Dorian’s Perspective
Sitting alone in my office, it was almost surreal to realize that today marked the eighteenth birthday of my pups. Eighteen years had passed since that pivotal moment when I nearly lost everything with my beloved Camilla. The memory of that time still lingered, a reminder of how close I came to losing the most important person in my life.
Thankfully, Camilla had shown me mercy—she gave me a second chance and welcomed me back as her mate. That act of forgiveness made me feel like the luckiest man alive. Even now, years later, every time our skin brushes against each other, the electric spark between us sends a thrill racing down my spine. Just the thought of her presence stirs a deep warmth inside me, a feeling I never want to lose.
Maybe I should go back to bed and spend some quiet moments with my beautiful mate. The idea alone brought a faint smile to my lips.
Suddenly, I became aware of footsteps approaching my office door. The scent was unmistakable, and as they drew nearer, I knew without a doubt it was Skyla. My daughter’s unique scent was something I could identify anywhere, and beyond that, I could sense the swirl of emotions she carried with her.
Before she had a chance to knock, I called out, “Come in.”
She entered quietly, her expression weighed down by something unspoken. “What’s on your mind, Princess?” I asked gently.
Skyla sighed deeply before answering. “Daddy, does the offer still stand for me to go train with the Alpha King’s pack? The she-wolves there know I’m the strongest female wolf in the world.”
