Trey stood in place for a moment, watching Felicia walk away. He let out a quiet laugh and finally looked away. His driver pulled up, and the doorman hurried over to open the car door with practiced respect. Trey took out his phone as he slid into the back seat, dialing a number. The call connected almost immediately.
“Hey, Holden. Guess who I just ran into today?” Trey’s voice was light and teasing.
Meanwhile, at dinner, Felicia faced the company’s higher-ups and told them she was planning to sell her shares and step away from Northstar Dynamics. Max had stopped meddling for now, but she had only put the divorce on hold. She had to divorce him someday. Some of the execs really tried to convince her to stay, but she had already made up her mind. There wasn’t much more they could say. She promised she’d stay on to help manage everything until her departure was official.
After dinner, Felicia stepped out of the building and immediately spotted a flashy Apollo sports car parked at the curb. Leaning against the door was a man with piercing blue eyes, dressed in a wild patterned shirt with a few buttons undone and black sunglasses perched on his nose. On anyone else, the look would be too much, but somehow he pulled it off.
Gavin noticed her right away. He ended his call, stood up straight, and waved. His grin was bright, almost cocky.
Felicia walked over, shaking her head. “Sunglasses at night? Really?”
Gavin laughed. “Gotta keep up the cool guy image. Come on, let’s get that drink.”
He’d done her a big favor, connecting her with a company willing to buy her shares for a great price, and more importantly, they had zero connection to Max. Gavin promised Max wouldn’t be able to mess with the deal. In two days, she’d meet with the buyers to finalize everything. Gavin had called her earlier, and she’d invited him out for drinks to say thank you.
Gavin opened the car door for her like a perfect gentleman. As Felicia slid into the passenger seat, she immediately caught the scent of a familiar Dior perfume. When she moved her feet, she accidentally nudged something and bent down to see what it was. She picked up a tube of lipstick.
Gavin got in and noticed what she was holding. He grinned. “No need to fix your makeup, Evelynn. You already look gorgeous. But if you want to be even prettier for me, I won’t complain.”
Felicia handed him the lipstick, a small smile curving her lips. “This is a limited edition. Someone must’ve dropped it.”
For a split second, Gavin’s expression changed. There was a flicker of something cold in his eyes, but it was gone as fast as it appeared. He took the lipstick without missing a beat. “Wow, Evelynn, you’re not even a little jealous?”

Update pls...
The story is a drag. How can they write crap like this where the female lead is like a lapdog, and the male lead is a complete trash? They use a child to blackmail the mother into staying. The female lead should not go back to the trashy male lead. I would prefer her to be with Jeremy....
Hey. Thank you for updating this novel here. Request you to update a big bulky lot of chapters please. It is such an interesting novel that 10 per day is simply not enough. Thanks again...
